Eric Gaston started as a content intern for The Action Network. He covered topics such as the NBA Draft, WNBA, and the United States men's basketball team during the 2024 Olympics. He's now an NBA contributor with a focus in sports betting guides and best bets, along with general coverage for everything happening in the association. Prior to joining Action, Gaston has been featured on numerous sports media platforms such as Sports Illustrated, FanSided, and Heavy Sports.
Experience
During his time at St. John's University, Gaston was trying to build a name for himself in the sports media industry. He started off as a contributing writer for the Daily Knicks of FanSided, before gaining an internship for a locally-focused sports media outlet called BVM Sports, where he had a chance to interview college athletes, coaches, and athletic directors. Through networking, Gaston was able to get bylines for Sports Illustrated, where he covered the Detroit Pistons, along with covering the New York Knicks for Heavy Sports. He graduated from St. John's University in 2023, and continued as a freelancer before joining The Action Network.
