Rush Street Interactive and Kambi announced a multi-year extension to their partnership Wednesday as Kambi will continue to serve as BetRivers' sportsbook platform and for core trading and risk management services across the Americas.

It is the second time the two have extended their partnership, with the original deal reached in 2018 ahead of Rush Street launching the BetRivers sportsbook for mobile wagering in the United States.

Kambi powers BetRivers' platform in 15 states and the province of Ontario in Canada. Rush Street's recent entry into Peru expanded a Latin American footprint that also features Colombia and Mexico.

“RSI always likes to put our players first and offer them high-quality and memorable betting experiences," said Richard Schwartz, CEO of RSI, in a joint statement. "Our partnership with Kambi has allowed us to do this, as they provide us with the core betting functionality to offer our players a robust and comprehensive sportsbook, while enabling RSI to build and integrate our own unique and innovative sports betting features and capabilities on top of the Kambi platform.

"We are pleased to have this extension with Kambi so we can continue to execute on our strategy of pairing a market leading sportsbook platform with RSI's ability to pioneer fun, new to the industry, betting experiences for our players.”

Kambi Maintains Presence in U.S. Sports Betting Scene

The extension keeps Kambi among the leading online sports betting platform providers in the U.S., with BetRivers' best-perfoming state being Illinois. It also powers Bally's sports betting platforms, giving Kambi presence with two operators in New York — the largest mobile market in the U.S.

“We are delighted to extend our partnership with RSI, a company that has firmly established itself as one of the leading operators in the Americas," said Kambi CEO Werner Bercher.  "This latest extension is a testament to the strength of our partnership and the success we've achieved together throughout the region, and we look forward to working closely with RSI to continue delivering world-class sports betting experiences to their players.”

Shares of Rush Street Interactive were priced at $8.82 on the New York Stock Exchange in midday trading Wednesday, while Kambi traded at 116.20 Swedish Krona ($11.37) on the First North of NASDAQ Stockholm Exchange.
