The Los Angeles Clippers (1-1) visit the Golden State Warriors (2-0) on NBA Sunday, tipping off at 8:30 p.m. ET from San Francisco, California. The game is airing live on Bally Sports SoCal and streaming on NBA League Pass.
The Warriors are consensus 9.5-point favorites over the Clippers on the spread (Warriors -9.5), with the over/under currently at 221.5 points. The Warriors are -422 favorites on the moneyline to win outright, while the Clippers are +327 to pull off the upset.
Let's dive into my Clippers vs. Warriors predictions and NBA picks for Sunday, October 27.
Clippers vs. Warriors Prediction
Norman Powell Over 18.5 Points
I think the spread and total are on the money, but from a player props perspective it could be a great game for Norman Powell to stay hot. Powell had 37 points against Denver last night, so confidence shouldn’t be an issue. This is a perfect spot for him as he thrives in transition and is one of the best drivers of the basketball in the NBA. The Warriors aren’t really playing a center and are clearly trying to play in transition a lot, so I could see Powell clearing his 18.5-point prop and having another big night.

Clippers vs. Warriors NBA Sunday Preview
Los Angeles Clippers: Tough Schedule So Far
The Clippers have done a great job defensively against two good offenses in the Nuggets and Suns to open up the season. They rank ninth in rim-rate allowed but 19th in 3-point attempt rate and 25th in 3-point percentage (40.3%).
This is a very good defense but the numbers won’t look good on paper unless you adjust for their schedule strength. They catch another bad break here as they face a great 3-point shooting Warriors offense that could very well light them up from beyond the arc. There is a case to be made for Clippers moneyline at north of +300 based off the schedule strength disparity, but it’s hard for me to back them off a back-to-back against a physical Denver team.
Golden State Warriors: Deepest Team in the League?
The Warriors have begun the season scorching hot and have showed flashes of the old Warriors style of off-ball movement, pace, and 3-point bombing. Buddy Hield is a legitimate Sixth Man of the Year candidate and looks to be the perfect fit for this Steve Kerr scheme. It’s not a stretch to say that this is clearly the deepest team in the league as they have about 10-11 NBA rotation players that can all contribute on a night-to-night basis.
That said, their schedule has been very soft, facing the Blazers and the Jazz so far. But this is another good spot as they get a team flying out of a Denver altitude on a back-to-back. The Warriors should have success defensively as this Clippers offense has looked fairly pedestrian. They rank outside the top 15 in both rim rate and 3-point attempt rate, opting for many mid-range shots (fifth in NBA) instead. As long as they can take away the rim from Harden, they should be able to force a lot of tough 2s from this Clipper team.
