Every team will be in action tonight, meaning there will be many opportunities to cash in. That being this case, let's dive right into my NBA player prop picks.
NBA Player Prop Picks
Evan Mobley Over 3.5 Assists (+130, FanDuel)
Ja Morant To Record A Double-Double (-105, DraftKings)
RJ Barrett Over 23.5 Points (-115, FanDuel)
Evan Mobley Over 3.5 Assists (+130, FanDuel)
With Darius Garland and Donovan Mitchell leading the team, the Cavaliers get the bulk of their assists from their backcourt. However, Evan Mobley is a sneaky good playmaker from the power forward position. Last season, Mobley averaged 3.2 assists per game and he already has five games with at least three assists this season.
One of those games came Saturday, when he had five assists against the Bucks. Tonight, Mobley will face the Bucks again and the same quality matchup remains. The Bucks are surrendering 116.3 points per game and rank 22nd in scoring defense. They are middle of the pack in assists allowed, allowing 25.3 per game and 4.1 per game to power forwards.
That average puts Mobley on track to clear this line at plus money. He'll have to stay out of foul trouble against Giannis Antetokounmpo, but he picked up two early fouls on Saturday night and was still able to finish with five assists.
Ja Morant To Record A Double-Double (-105, DraftKings)
Ja Morant is averaging 20 points per game this season. He has scored in double digits in every game and in each of his past 52 games. His points should be the easy leg of this double-double.
Morant is also averaging 9.8 assists per game. His assists line is a bit juiced (8.5 between -136 to -175), but there is a good reason for that. Morant has cleared that line in five of six games and has had 10 assists in each of the five overs. However, he's also a strong rebounding guard.
Morant is averaging 5.2 rebounds per game this season and has had eight rebounds in two of his past three contests. That includes a 10 rebound performance on Thursday night against the Bucks — the 12th triple-double of his career.
If Morant gets a double-double tonight, it is probably with assists as the Nets are 23rd in assists allowed. However, a game with 10 rebounds and eight or nine assists is not out of the question for Morant. Additionally, if he does put it altogether for another triple-double, you can back that at +1200 on DraftKings.
RJ Barrett Over 23.5 Points (-115, FanDuel)
Last Monday, RJ Barrett scored 20 against the Denver Nuggets. It was his first game of the season and his lone game under 30 minutes this season. Since then, Barrett has easily cleared this line of 23.5 points. He has done so by scoring 30 points in each of his past three games.
With another shot at the Nuggets tonight, I expect that trend to continue. Denver has allowed at least 119 points in three of its past four games, with the Raptors scoring 125 against the Nuggets last week in the overtime loss.
The Raptors had a balanced scoring effort with all five starters scoring 15 points, but one of those starters was Scottie Barnes, who is out for the foreseeable future.
Barrett will pick up some of the scoring slack in Barnes' absence and is averaging 22 field goal attempts while shooting 51.5% from the field over his past three games.
That kind of volume should help him to get 24 points again tonight. He could possibly even get to 30, which is priced at +250 on FanDuel.
