On the day before Halloween, the NBA has given us a spooky matchup between two mythical creatures, as Victor Wembanyama (alien) and the San Antonio Spurs head to Oklahoma City for a battle with Chet Holmgren (unicorn) and the Thunder.
Last year's Rookie of the Year race was a precursor of epic Wembanyama vs. Holmgren duels to come. So, what can we expect from these two players tonight?

Victor Wembanyama Pick: Record 4+ Blocks (+115)
While Victor Wembanyama has not had the start to the season that many expected, it is still early, and this is a fantastic spot to back his props.
Last season, Wembanyama logged at least four blocks in two of the Spurs' three games against the Thunder, constantly making his interior presence, defensive IQ, and alien-like length felt. He should be able to reach this number again.
So far this season, the Thunder are averaging the third-most shot attempts inside of five feet in the NBA. While they have had excellent success finishing thus far (68.2% shooting on those attempts), Wemby's length will inevitably cause problems.
Expect Wemby to find some weak-side blocks on players that love to slash, like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams, as well as on-ball opportunities against Holmgren, who will be eager to dominate this matchup and should take plenty of shots.
Pick: Victor Wembanyama To Record 4+ Blocks (+115, DraftKings)
Chet Holmgren Picks: Score 20+ Points (-110) & 2+ 3-Pointers (-120)
Holmgren has been exceptional in the first three games of his campaign, scoring at least 20 points in all three matchups while shooting a blistering 56.3% from the floor.
And Holmgren logged a 23-point outing the last time these two teams took the floor.
The Spurs also allow the fifth-most second-chance points to opponents and the second-most points to opposing centers through their first three games, giving Holmgren a digestible path to 20+ points.
Additionally, the Spurs have allowed opponents the fewest points in the paint thus far in the season, which actually opens the door for a big night for Holmgren from behind the arc.
Holmgren finally saw some 3s go down in his last outing against Atlanta, so he should be past the initial shooting struggles he faced in the first two games.
