The Big South Tournament wraps up early Sunday afternoon, as the Campbell Fighting Camels come in as moderately sized underdogs to the UNC Asheville Bulldogs in the Big South Tournament Championship odds.

My betting pick for Campbell vs UNC Asheville isn't on the spread, though. Instead, we're eyeing the total in this Big South Tournament Championship betting guide.

Campbell vs. UNC Asheville Betting Pick

What a crescendo to the Big South title game today at Bojangles Coliseum. Yesterday, the reigning regular season champion UNC Asheville Bulldogs escaped from a pesky USC Upstate squad to advance, while the white hot Campbell Camels rode an incendiary shooting performance to win their third game in three days over Radford.

Can the Fighting Camels keeping fighting for 40 more minutes and secure the program's first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 1992?

From a betting lens, don't be deterred by a potentially gassed and winded Campbell team. There's minimal evidence to suggest teams playing four games in four days are prone to letdowns — nor should they be, as the momentum and sheer adrenaline should over power any fatigue at this stage. In fact, we just witnessed SEMO follow this same script last night. Despite a near devastating collapse, the Redhawks gutted out an admirable performance to prevail in overtime, winning four games in four days.

The Camels' offense is a highly intricate mechanism that can be tough to scout and prepare for, but UNCA won't be caught off guard by any of it. The Bulldogs held Campbell's offense to 0.86 and 1.02 points per possession in each of the two regular season victories over the Camels, though both games were highly competitive — UNCA's 13-point win in the second meeting is a misleading margin, as the game neck-and-neck with 10 minutes to go in the second half.

The question is, can Campbell corral Drew Pember? The Big South Player of the Year is quietly becoming a household name. The Camels kept Pember in check during the regular season, although an 18-point per game average is far from "shutting him down."

Each defense is well equipped to combat the other's prevailing offensive advantage.  This in turn should play well for an UNDER today, along with the  early tip time and the taxing back-to-back-to-back schedule format — or in the case of Campbell, back-to-back-to-back-TO-BACK.

Also, it's worth noting how deliberately slow Campbell prefers to play, despite the high scoring output in yesterday's win over Radford. The Camels crawled at a 54-possession pace, but caught fire from long distance, which pushed the game OVER the total.

Today, we're betting on efficiency coming back down to Earth, with a slow pace driving the value towards the UNDER. Four of the last five Big South Championship games have gone UNDER the total, precedents which bode well for a continuation of that trend today — take the UNDER, but not lower than 134, which is already shaded heavily below KenPom's number.

Pick: UNDER 135
