It's time to take a look at the Auburn Tigers vs. Ole Miss Rebels odds and make a pick for Saturday's college basketball game.
No. 16 Auburn and Ole Miss meet on Saturday night in a crucial SEC matchup.
The Tigers got back on track with a dominant midweek victory over Vanderbilt to move to within one game of Alabama in the SEC standings.
Meanwhile, the Rebels have won three straight and are 18-3 (5-3 in conference play) overall.
This will be a raucous environment and it should be a great battle between two league foes. My Auburn vs. Ole Miss pick is below.
Last week, Auburn hit the road and lost to both Alabama and Mississippi State. So, the big lingering question is whether Bruce Pearl’s team can perform away from The Jungle.
The key in this game — and for the rest of the season — is whether Pearl can get any scoring production from players not named Jaylin Williams and Johni Broome.
Williams and Broome have combined to average 29.9 points and 14.5 rebounds per game in SEC play. Broome also ranks second in the conference in blocks per contest (2.2).
In the victory over the Commodores, guard Denver Jones had his best performance in an Auburn jersey. The FIU transfer scored a season-high 19 points as he hit four 3-pointers and shot 55% from the field.
Pearl desperately needs someone in his backcourt to start to perform if the Tigers are going to make a run in March.
The turnaround in Chris Beard's first season is impressive. However, winning is nothing new for him.
Beard, at over 71%, holds one of the highest career winning percentages in the country and ranks 10th among active head coaches with 10 or more years of experience.
Beard is known for his stout defenses, but the offense has shined for Ole Miss. Four Rebels are averaging double figures in scoring, led by Matthew Murrell.
The senior guard became the 42nd player in school history to join the 1,000-point club and continues to climb the charts. He enters this game ranked 28th.
With Allen Flanigan (15.0) and Jaylen Murray (15.0) joining Murrell in the backcourt, the Rebels are tough to defend, especially at home.

Auburn vs Ole Miss
Betting Pick & Prediction
Until I see them play well on the road, I can’t trust the Tigers. However, I do see one area where the Rebels can be exploited.
My best bet is for Broome to grab 10 or more rebounds, a prop that'll be posted on FanDuel at some point on Saturday.
According to BartTorvik, Ole Miss is ranked 347th out of 362 teams in defensive rebounding. That, unsurprisingly, ranks last in the SEC> Additionally, Ole Miss has been outrebounded in five of eight league games.
Meanwhile, Auburn ranks in the top 60 in offensive rebound rate. Broome is the team leader as he paces the Tigers with 8.8 rebounds per game.
I also wouldn’t hate combining his points and rebounds if it is offered at anything around 30.
If you have read some of my previous articles on the Rebels, you know I like to back them in the Race to 5 market. where they are 16-4 this season. However, Auburn is also very good at the start of games, so I'll pass on that bet today.
