Below, we have Kansas State vs Providence odds and a prediction, including an NCAAB betting guide for Friday, Nov. 17.

The Baha Mar Bahamas Hoops Championship starts on Friday with four teams taking part. Miami and Georgia tip things off in the afternoon, followed by the Kansas State Wildcats facing off with the Providence Friars at 6 p.m. ET.

K-State has rebounded from a season-opening loss to USC with two straight wins, while Providence looks to remain undefeated following three consecutive victories.

Providence and Kansas State were actually in the same region of the NCAA tournament last season and were set up to play each other in the second round if they both won.

The Wildcats took care of their business with a victory over Montana State, but the Friars fell short against Kentucky. K-State actually beat Kentucky in the second round before eventually getting bounced in the Elite Eight by upstart FAU.

Kansas State Wildcats

The Wildcats are catching up to their state rivals — the Kansas Jayhawks — in spite of coming up just short of the Final Four last season.

K-State will never reach the pageantry of KU, but the Wildcats are a serious threat once again in the Big 12.

The season didn’t open up the way head coach Jerome Tang was expecting, though, as Kansas State lost to USC in Las Vegas, 82-69. The Trojans basically led from start to finish, and it was all about making shots.

USC converted 26-of-40 attempts from 2-point range, compared to 14-of-38 shooting on 2s from K-State. Also, the Wildcats missed 25 3-pointers and misfired on seven free-throw attempts.

The Wildcats rebounded in Manhattan with a pair of victories over Bellarmine and South Dakota State. In the game against Bellarmine, K-State jumped out to a 15-point lead, and it held on for an 83-75 triumph as 16.5-point favorites.

Former North Texas standout Tylor Perry scored 18 points in his K-State home debut, but amazingly did so without making a 2-point field goal. Perry knocked down four 3-pointers and six free throws while attempting just one 2-pointer.

The Wildcats grabbed their first cover of the season on Monday in a 91-68 blowout of South Dakota State as 9.5-point favorites. Perry hit 6-of-8 3-point attempts, while Cam Carter led the Wildcats with 25 points.

Providence Friars

Providence is leaving New England for the first time this season after grabbing three home wins over Columbia, Milwaukee and Wisconsin. The Friars knocked off Columbia, 78-59, in spite of making just 6-of-23 3-pointers.

In the 79-69 victory over Milwaukee, Providence failed to cover as 13.5-point favorites despite shooting 39% from the floor. Five Friars scored in double figures, led by Jayden Pierre’s 16 points.

The Friars' signature win came over Wisconsin as part of the Gavitt Games on Tuesday, 72-59. The Friars jumped out to a 24-9 lead and never looked back, converting a ridiculous 16-of-23 attempts from 2-point range in the process.

Josh Oduro left George Mason to follow head coach Kim English to Providence, and the forward is coming off consecutive 13-point efforts, while pulling down 12 rebounds in the victory over Milwaukee.

Providence has cashed the Under in all three games and didn't allow 59 points twice. The Friars closed last season on a 6-2 Over run, so things are heading more in the defensive direction with English, who closed with nine Unders in his last 11 games at George Mason.

Betting Pick & Prediction

This should be a terrific matchup in the Bahamas, but it will be tough for Providence to follow up that spectacular performance against Wisconsin.

K-State has already played a neutral-site game and didn't perform well against USC. Now is a second chance for the Wildcats to pick up a solid non-conference win away from Manhattan before likely facing Miami in the championship game.

Pick: Kansas State +1 (Play to -1.5)
