Below, we have Notre Dame vs Miami odds and a pick for Saturday.
Conference play begins in the ACC as the Miami Hurricanes host the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Saturday. Both of these teams could use a victory coming off underwhelming performances in the ACC/SEC Challenge earlier this week.
Notre Dame lost on the road to South Carolina. It has been a bumpy start to the season for Micah Shrewsberry in his first year as head coach. Notre Dame sits at 3-3, with a bad loss to Western Carolina and a solid win over Oklahoma State.
Miami started the year on an impressive five-game winning streak before taking their talents to Rupp Arena, where the young Kentucky Wildcats smacked the Canes in the mouth en route to a blowout victory. Miami's offense is performing at an elite level but the defense leaves much to be desired and opens the door for less talented opponents to defeat them on any given night.
Both teams would love to get back on track here. It should be a hotly contested game!
When you think of a Micah Shrewsberry team, you probably think of elite three-point shooting surrounding a star player that beats his man consistently and either scores or kicks out to open shooters. That's the formula he used to much success at Penn State, and it is the formula he wants to replicate during his tenure at Notre Dame.
The only problem is he does not yet have the personnel to replicate the successful formula. Notre Dame is shooting just 28% on its three-point shots, and while the Irish are attempting plenty of shots from deep, they just are not going in the way they need to.
The Irish are extremely young, with three freshmen and no seniors in their top six scorers. It will be a tall task for Notre Dame's youth to show up ready to defeat an experienced Miami squad that can pour it on offensively.

While age and experience is definitely a huge part of what makes Miami successful, the Canes have no shortage of talent. The Hurricanes returned three of their superstars from last year's run to the Final Four — Nijel Pack, Norchad Omier and Wooga Poplar.
Poplar has been the breakout star so far, averaging 18.2 points per game and making 56% of his shots from deep. He is operating as a three-level scorer, and his production makes Pack's life easier on the perimeter.
Miami ranks second in the country in three-point shooting percentage, making 43% of its shots from deep. It would be surprising if the Hurricanes don't bounce back from a poor performance on the road at Kentucky, especially playing at home.
Notre Dame vs. Miami
Betting Pick & Prediction
These two teams met just once last season, with Miami winning by 11 points on the road. The Canes are reloaded and have taken steps forward as a team, while Notre Dame has entered a rebuild.
Opening conference play, both teams should perform near their best, but that means Miami should get whatever it wants on offense and cruise to a decisive victory.
Pick: Miami -14.5
