The Oklahoma Sooners are riding high off their win against Texas Tech, but they will now face an even stiffer test in the Kansas Jayhawks.

The reigning national champions have looked sharp through the early portion of the season, as they enter this matchup 14-1 and are back up to No. 2 in the polls.

Kansas is also undefeated through the first three games of conference play, but the Sooners have proven to be a tough out.

With these two teams set to battle, let's dive into our prediction and find the best bet as the Oklahoma Sooners take on the Kansas Jayhawks.

Oklahoma Sooners

Looking at the Sooners on the offensive end of the floor, Grant Sherfield is the guy every team circles in their game plan.

However, it was the contributions of Jalen Hill and Milos Uzan that propelled them to the victory over the Red Raiders.

If the Sooners want to replicate their results, they will need all hands on deck. Sherfield has been phenomenal and will keep shooting even if he's having a rough night.

That is likely in this game, as the Jayhawks are elite defensively. They are 11th in Adjusted Defensive Efficiency and 36th in effective field goal percentage allowed.

Sherfield will have a tough assignment, as every member of the Jayhawks' backcourt is significantly bigger than him. As a result, it will be hard for him to penetrate and create, so his 46% 3-point percentage will regress.

However, the offensive production beyond Sherfield drops off steadily. It will be an anomaly if Oklahoma has significant contributions from others in this matchup.

Kansas Jayhawks

As for the Jayhawks, they have a star of their own. Jalen Wilson has taken a giant leap this season and is a problem for the opposition.

He enters Tuesday averaging 20.2 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. Although, unlike the Sooners, he has a formidable supporting cast.

Freshman Gradey Dick has shown his limitless range from the perimeter. He'll come in averaging nearly 15 points per game and is shooting 48% from beyond the arc.

However, the Sooners appear to have the formula to slow down those two from the outside. Oklahoma is sixth in 3-point percentage allowed and only 23% of the points it's surrendered this season have been 3s.

So, with the inability to stretch the floor, it will be up to the Jayhawks to consistently create inside.

Executing that plan is much easier said than done, though.

Oklahoma vs. Kansas Betting Pick

This looks like a matchup that the Jayhawks should roll. Oddsmakers did agree to a certain point, as Kansas opened as 10-point favorites.

However, there is a much stronger angle.

Oklahoma has had flashes of proving it's not a one-trick pony on offense, but its options after Sherfield do not inspire much confidence, especially against this Kansas defense.

On the other side, Kansas will find ways to get there, but the key to pulling away will be locked up in this one. Oklahoma's excellent perimeter defense will force the Jayhawks to work hard and generate long possessions.

So, in a game that could turn into a rock fight, I'm taking the under.
