The Action Network has created a proprietary algorithm that has developed a database since 2005.

This college basketball model encompasses specific parameters and thinks there's value on the spread for Tennessee vs. Texas A&M on Tuesday night.

We don't recommend using this betting algorithm as an alternative to investing — variance is a much sturdier constraint in sports gambling compared to the financial markets — but similar principles apply in regard to gains over a long time horizon.

Tennessee vs. Texas A&M College Basketball Odds, Prediction

This betting algorithm has a list of parameters it considers when targeting a specific game and line. In general, it assigns value to lines it considers inefficient in the market.

And for Tuesday night, the models think the public is overrating a solid — but inferior — Texas A&M team at home.

Our models indicate Tennessee should be roughly -2 point favorites for this nationally televised tilt.

Meanwhile, the best price on the market for the Volunteers' spread is with BetMGM at +2.5 (-110).

Same principles apply for the moneyline. While Tennessee should be -123 favorites, their market-best price pits them at +125 at WynnBet.

The spread has a roughly 5% edge while the moneyline has a nearly 11% betting edge.

Effectively, you'll be receiving a 5% or 11% discount from the fair value price on Tennessee's spread.

Another way to think about it: You're accumulating 5% or 11% in expected value by making those picks. Over the long run, if you exclusively bet on things that provide positive expected value, you're all but assured to make a profit. In the short term, of course, variance is a constraint.

Keep in mind that this historically profitable algorithm applies to one or two college basketball games per day. While Tuesday night might be an opportunity to cash in, this is a long-term investment.

In order to maximize your return on investment, make sure to follow through whenever this algorithm provides picks for the rest of the season.

Pick: Tennessee +125 or better | Tennessee +2.5 (-110) or better
