It's time to take a look at the Utah Utes vs. UCLA Bruins odds and make a prediction for Sunday's Pac-12 college basketball showdown.

The top half of the Pac-12 is really heating up with a few weeks left in the regular season.

Utah got off to a hot start this season but fell off once conference play started. On the other side of this matchup, UCLA is right in the mix.

Let's dive in and find some betting value for this matchup.

Utah Utes

Utah has the talent and ability to beat anyone in this league, but it's beaten itself multiple times this season.

The strength of its team comes down low, where its leader is center Branden Carlson. The seven-footer averages just under 17 points per game and will be called on many times this evening, as Utah can expose a shaky UCLA frontcourt.

The guard play from Utah is hit or miss and depends on the 3-ball.

UCLA Bruins

UCLA is on an absolute heater. The Bruins have won six straight and find themselves in the heat of the conference hunt.

I've been adamant all year long how it was just a matter of time before the Bruins found themselves as a team. They lost so much production from the last few years and have a very young, inexperienced roster.

Also, Mick Cronin is one of the best coaches in the country, so it's no surprise he has the boys playing great ball at the perfect time.

UCLA will have a sizable advantage on the perimeter. Meanwhile, in the paint, Adem Bona may have some trouble with Carlson.

I believe the X-factor for UCLA will be freshman big Berke Buyuktuncel. Game-by-game, he's found his rhythm and has improved. He's a 6-foot-9 freshman with plenty of talent, but he's been beaten up by some of the bigs in the Pac-12. The Bruins need to find some true depth up front to help out Bona.

Betting Pick & Prediction

How can I not back a red-hot Bruins team at home? UCLA may have its work cut out for it against Carlson, but I trust Cronin late in the season.

Plus, Dylan Andrews has really come on as of late for the Bruins, scoring in double figures in six straight outings.

Back the Bruins.

Pick: UCLA -3.5
