The Seattle Kraken meet the Dallas Stars in another Stanley Cup Playoff matchup Thursday night.

Check out my same game parlay for Game 5 — including picks for Jason Robertson, Joe Pavelski and Roope Hintz — as the Stars look to grab a 3-2 lead in the series.

Same Game Parlay: Kraken vs. Stars

The Parlay (+1000 at Bet365)

  • Jason Robertson Any Time Goal Scorer
  • Joe Pavelski Over 2.5 Shots on Goal
  • Roope Hintz Over 0.5 Points
  • Jared McCann Over 2.5 Shots on Goal

Robertson Any Time Goal · Pavelski Over 2.5 SOGs · Roope Hintz Over 0.5 Points

Stars head coach Pete DeBoer reunited Pavelski with Hintz and Robertson in Game 4, which was a logical move after a tough Game 3 loss. The trio was productive in a blowout win in which most Stars touched the scoresheet, which is par for the course when they're together.

One potential outcome from this game is the Stars' lethal top line dragging them to a 3-2 series lead with a strong offensive performance.

There are various ways to target that narrative, but this is my favorite combination.

For several seasons the trio has played exceptional hockey together and has been wildly productive. In 764.8 minutes together at even strength this season, they owned a 59.6% expected goals rating. They also combined for 261 points and 111 goals in 237 regular-season games.

Forty-six of those goals came from Robertson, who is suffering through a five-game goal drought. If the Stars' top trio spends a lot of time attacking as we hope, there's a good chance the breakthrough for one of the league's more prolific scorers comes tonight.

Ideally, that will mean an assist coming from our guy Hintz, who has been the Stars' MVP so far in the playoffs.

Substituting Robertson over 1.5 points instead of any time goal could be another logical way to play this.

Pavelski has generated six goals and 15 shots in the opening four matchups of this series. His price is the longest of the three to go over 2.5 shots, which is why I selected him as opposed to Hintz or Robertson.

Jared McCann Over 2.5 Shots on Goal

There are some flaws with this pick, but I believe now could be a good time to buy back in on Seattle's 40-goal scorer —particularly in a game script involving a Robertson goal and Hintz point, as the Kraken would be more likely to be playing from behind.

McCann made a strong return to the lineup with three shots on goal, six shot attempts and a game-high 89.6% expected goal rating.

He played only 13 minutes of ice time, as he was on Seattle's fourth line at even strength. He remained on that line at today's morning skate, which is the flaw with this play. However, he does remain on the Kraken's top power-play unit.

It's still unlikely he comes in below 13:31 of ice time in his second game back, and he still put up three shots and six attempts there in Game 4. If things go astray early, Kraken head coach Dave Hakstol would be quick to slide McCann up on the top line with Matty Beniers and Jordan Eberle.

If not, my guess is the Kraken still find a way to work in their most dangerous offensive piece for more than 13 minutes, as indications say he's ready to be back in the lineup.
