Here are my NHL Anytime Goalscorers for Wednesday, February 21 – my expert predictions and picks for players to score tonight.
For tonight's five-game NHL slate, I've identified three players for my NHL anytime goalscorer picks, and I believe all three offer value for bettors.
Betting on NHL anytime goalscorers is simple enough: If your player scores a goal at any point in the game, your bet is a winner. MLB has its dingers; the NHL has its anytime goalscorers. And with both types of player props, the bets usually come with plus-money odds attached to them, so they're a favorite among all types of sports bettors.

Sabres vs. Canadiens
By Tony Sartori
Early in the evening, we have an Atlantic Division tilt with the Montreal Canadiens hosting the Buffalo Sabres. We are going to target Buffalo forward Jeff Skinner to find the back of the net, something he has not done in nine games.
With that said, it feels like he is due, and this matchup against Montreal presents a great buy-low opportunity. First, Skinner has utterly dominated this divisional foe with 24 goals over his past 31 games against the Habs.
That in itself is worth taking a flier on him to score at +210, but this matchup presents a particularly good opportunity given that the Canadiens rank 25th in the league in penalty minutes taken per game and 31st in penalty kill percentage. Like Pastrnak for Boston, Skinner leads Buffalo in power-play goals this year.
Even if Skinner doesn't score on special teams, the Habs bleed goals at even-strength and rank 28th or lower in goals allowed per game and shots on goal per game. They surrender high-danger scoring chances at an extremely high rate, ranking 28th in expected goals against per 60 minutes (xGA/60) at 5-on-5.
Pick: Jeff Skinner (+210 at FanDuel)
Bruins vs. Oilers
By Tony Sartori
The best game on Wednesday's NHL slate features the Edmonton Oilers and Boston Bruins in the second matchup of TNT's doubleheader. Goaltender Stuart Skinner is slated to guard the cage for Edmonton and could be a good fade candidate.
Skinner went nuclear during January and February, but, predictably, he has started to regress to the mean. He's now allowed three or more goals in each of his past four starts, posting a .872 SV% and 3.80 GAA over that stretch.
While the Oilers have made strides defensively this season, they still struggle on special teams. Entering this matchup, they rank in the bottom half of the league in penalty minutes taken per game and penalty kill percentage.
Those rankings are important to note as we are going to target David Pastrnak to find the back of the net in this contest. Pastrnak leads Boston in power-play goals (and total goals), and he could absolutely take advantage in this contest.
Pasta is starting to catch fire once again with goals in two of his past three games. This success is likely to continue against Edmonton, a team he has torched with nine goals over 13 career games against.
Pick: David Pastrnak (-105 at FanDuel)
Bruins vs. Oilers
By Tony Sartori
I am also risking a half-unit on David Pastrnak to score and adding another half-unit on Brad Marchand to find the back of the net at +210 via FanDuel. My thinking here is simple: We profit or basically break even if either one of these two guys score, and if both do, then all the better.
At least one of Pasta/Marchand has scored in eight of Boston's past 12 games. The Bruins should be able to take advantage of Skinner's recent lack of success and the Oilers' poor defensive stats on special teams, and while Pastrnak leads Boston in power-play goals, Marchand is second on that list.
Like Pasta, Marchand has fared well against Edmonton with nine goals over his past 18 games against them. Finally, Skinner did only allow two goals in his last start against Boston, but those two goalscorers? Pastrnak and Marchand.
