Here are my NHL Anytime Goalscorers for Wednesday, January 24 – my expert predictions and picks.

Tonight, we've got seven games on the hockey schedule, but I'm targeting the nationally televised NHL on TNT doubleheader, which includes the following games:

  • Carolina Hurricanes vs. Boston Bruins – 7:30 p.m. ET
  • Chicago Blackhawks vs. Seattle Kraken – 10 p.m. ET

Betting on NHL anytime goalscorers is simple enough: If your player scores a goal at any point in the game, your bet is a winner. MLB has its dingers; the NHL has its anytime goalscorers. And with both types of player props, the bets usually come with plus-money odds attached to them, so they're a favorite among all types of sports bettors.

Check out all of the analysis with my favorite anytime goalscorer predictions for tonight's NHL games below.

The first TNT game on Wednesday evening features an Eastern Conference tilt between the Carolina Hurricanes and Boston Bruins. Goaltending has been the main issue for Carolina all season, and that problem is now exacerbated with the concussion to Pytor Kochetkov.

As a result, the Canes had to pick up goaltender Spencer Martin off waivers, which is certainly not going to make this situation any better. He is projected to make his Hurricanes debut on Wednesday evening, and he should be a good fade candidate.

Through 13 appearances in the crease this season, Martin is 3-8-1 with a fade-worthy .887 SV% and 3.31 GAA. Martin was in particularly poor form prior to hitting the market (hence why it happened), posting a .845 SV% and 4.63 GAA over his past four starts.

That brings us to David Pastrnak, who has been overshadowed by Auston Matthews in the goal-scoring department but has put together a ridiculous campaign nonetheless. Through 46 games, Pasta has scored 30 times and has been on a tear particularly lately with eight goals over his past 10 games.

This trend is likely to continue against Carolina, a team that Pasta has scored eight times over his past 12 games against. We are catching a great number on him to score at +100 via FanDuel. By comparison, those odds are -155 at Caesars, as of this writing.

Pick: David Pastrnak anytime goalscorer (+100 at FanDuel)

Blackhawks vs. Kraken

The second TNT game features a Western Conference tilt between the Chicago Blackhawks and Seattle Kraken. I'm sure producers are upset with Connor Bedard being unable to go for the Hawks; that was pretty much the only reason to watch this dumpster fire of a team (I'm a Hawks fan, I can attest).

Part of the reason for this team's woes is the terrible blue line (outside of Alex Vlasic, who has been a wonderful surprise and will be a cornerstone defensive-defenseman moving forward). This season, Chicago ranks 29th in goals allowed per game.

Its underlying metrics are even worse, ranking second-to-last in expected goals against per 60 minutes (xGA/60) at 5-0n-5. The Blackhawks surrender plenty of high-danger scoring chances at even-strength, but they are also no stranger to allowing goals on special teams as they rank in the bottom half of the league in both penalty minutes taken per game and penalty kill percentage.

That's important to note for a guy such as Jared McCann, who not only centers Seattle's first line but also serves as the primary triggerman on the first power-play unit. In fact, he leads the Kraken in power play goals and is second in goals scored at even-strength.

I love McCann in this spot not only for those reasons, but because he has notoriously torched Chicago over the past few seasons. The guy has scored nine goals over his past 11 games against the Hawks, and at +210, it's worth taking a shot on him to do so once again on Wednesday evening.

Pick: Jared McCann anytime goalscorer (+210 at FanDuel)
