Here are my NHL Anytime Goalscorers for Wednesday, January 31 – my expert predictions and picks.

Before NHL All-Star Weekend begins and the first half of the season comes to a close, hockey fans are treated to three NHL games tonight.

However, for my NHL anytime goalscorer picks tonight, I'm targeting two games in particular:

  • Ottawa Senators vs. Detroit Red Wings – 7 p.m. ET (ESPN+)
  • Los Angeles Kings vs. Nashville Predators – 7:30 p.m. ET (TNT)

Betting on NHL anytime goalscorers is simple enough: If your player scores a goal at any point in the game, your bet is a winner. MLB has its dingers; the NHL has its anytime goalscorers. And with both types of player props, the bets usually come with plus-money odds attached to them, so they're a favorite among all types of sports bettors.

Check out all of the analysis with my favorite anytime goalscorer predictions for tonight's NHL games below.

Dylan Larkin Anytime Goalscorer (+150)

An Atlantic Division tilt kicks off Wednesday's three-game NHL slate with the Detroit Red Wings hosting the Ottawa Senators. Oddsmakers are suggesting that we should expect a high-scoring affair with the total bouncing between 6.5 and 7, depending on the book.

That bodes well for betting goal-scoring props, and the first guy we are going to target in this game is Detroit forward Dylan Larkin. Leading the club in both shots on goal (143) and goals (22), Larkin has been the spark plug for this offense all season.

He enters this matchup in particularly good form, posting nine goals over his past 10 games and scoring in each of his past three. This success is likely to continue against Ottawa, a team that ranks 30th in the league in goals allowed per game.

The blue line has not been good, but neither has the goaltending as Joonas Korpisalo is once again slated to start between the pipes.

Through 32 appearances in the crease, Korpisalo is 11-16-2 with a .888 SV% and 3.44 GAA.

Finally, Larkin is a big threat to score on the power play, co-leading the Wings with eight goals on the man-advantage. I mention this because the Sens rank 29th in penalty minutes taken per game and 28th in penalty kill percentage.

We are catching a great number on Larkin to score. You can get +150 at BetMGM or +145 at FanDuel, as of this writing.

Pick: Dylan Larkin Anytime Goalscorer (+150 at BetMGM – 0.5 units)

Senators vs. Red Wings

Alex DeBrincat Anytime Goalscorer (+200)

I am also putting a half-unit on Detroit's second-leading goal scorer, Alex DeBrincat. My thinking here is simple: I am fairly confident that if the Wings are expected to put up 4-5 goals, then at least one of Larkin or DeBrincat will have a hand in that.

And if both score? Icing on the cake.

I mentioned above that Larkin co-leads the team in power-play goals, which is especially beneficial against a team like Ottawa that ranks in the bottom four of the league in both penalty minutes taken per game and penalty kill percentage.

Larkin's co-leader in power-play goals? DeBrincat.

He has scored five goals over his past eight games against the Senators, a trend I could see continuing on Wednesday evening. Finally, we are once again catching a great price at +200 via ESPN BET, a line that is 10-25 cents longer than the rest of the market at the time of writing.

I would play this line up to +150.

Pick: Alex DeBrincat Anytime Goalscorer (+200 at ESPN BET – 0.5 units)

Later in the evening, the Nashville Predators host the Los Angeles Kings in TNT's lone game for the night. Goaltender David Rittich is slated to start between the pipes for Los Angeles, and I am a firm believer that major regression is looming.

Through 10 appearances in the crease this season, Rittich is 4-1-3 with a .920 SV% and 2.10 GAA. Terrific numbers, but it is a small sample size, and he is just simply not as good as those numbers suggest.

We should expect regression, something that has already started to kick in recently. Over his past three appearances between the pipes, Rittich possesses a .885 SV% and 3.27 GAA.

Nashville forward Filip Forsberg is someone who should be able to capitalize in this spot. He leads the Preds in both shots on goal (197) and goals (23).

Forsberg has been particularly shot-heavy recently, averaging 4.4 shots on goal per game over his past 15. He has also scored seven goals over that stretch.

We are catching Forsberg to score at +140 via FanDuel, a line that is seven cents longer than the rest of the market at the time of writing. I would play this line up to +130.

Pick: Filip Forsberg Anytime Goalscorer (+140 at FanDuel)
