Here are my NHL Anytime Goalscorers for Friday, February 16 – my expert predictions and picks for players to score tonight.
With an abbreviated slate, hockey fans are treated to just one NHL game this evening: Arizona Coyotes vs. Carolina Hurricanes at 9 p.m. ET (6 p.m. PT) on the NHL Network.
However, I've still identified two players for my NHL anytime goalscorer picks, and I believe they both offer value for bettors tonight.
Betting on NHL anytime goalscorers is simple enough: If your player scores a goal at any point in the game, your bet is a winner. MLB has its dingers; the NHL has its anytime goalscorers. And with both types of player props, the bets usually come with plus-money odds attached to them, so they're a favorite among all types of sports bettors.

Hurricanes vs. Coyotes
The Arizona Coyotes host the Carolina Hurricanes in Friday's lone NHL game. Oddsmakers are expecting a high-scoring affair with the total set at 6.5, which bodes well for goalscorer props.
We are going to target two guys on Carolina to find the back of the net, risking a half-unit on each. We just need one of them to score to stay in the black, though winning both would be great.
That brings us to Seth Jarvis, who leads the team in power-play goals. I mention this fact because Arizona ranks second-to-last in the league in penalty minutes taken per game and 20th in penalty-kill percentage.
This team also bleeds high-danger scoring chances at even-strength, ranking 24th in expected goals against per 60 minutes (xGA/60) at 5-on-5. Backing up this defensively poor lineup is goaltender Karel Vejmelka, who is expected to guard the cage on Friday.
While he is dealt a tough hand playing behind the Yotes, Vejmelka still has not played particularly well; he is 6-12-2 with a .897 SV% and 3.36 GAA through 23 appearances in the crease. He squared off against the Canes last March, a game in which he allowed six goals on 42 shots for a .857 SV%.

Hurricanes vs. Coyotes
By Tony Sartori
Speaking of that previous outing against Carolina, one of the six goals allowed by Vejmelka was at the hands of Martin Necas, who is the other player we are targeting in this game to find the back of the net.
Necas has been on fire recently, potting seven goals over his past nine games.
One of those goals came against Arizona, though Ingram was in net for that matchup.
It is convenient to stack these two players considering that Necas skates on the second power-play unit while Jarvis remains with the first. This bodes well for our prop betting because we can take advantage of the Coyotes' lack of discipline and poor penalty-killing for the entirety of the two minutes if needed, given that our two goal scorers are represented in each of the power-play groups.
Necas has a knack for punishing the Yotes, scoring in four of his seven career games against them. I would not be surprised if that success continues on Friday, given all the aforementioned variables.
