Here are my NHL Anytime Goalscorers for Wednesday, February 7 – my expert predictions and picks.
As the second half of the season rolls on, hockey fans are treated to three NHL games tonight.
However, for my NHL anytime goalscorer picks tonight, I'm targeting two games in particular:
- Tampa Bay Lightning vs. New York Rangers – 7 p.m. ET (TNT)
- Dallas Stars vs. Toronto Maple Leafs – 7 p.m. ET (ESPN+)
Betting on NHL anytime goalscorers is simple enough: If your player scores a goal at any point in the game, your bet is a winner. MLB has its dingers; the NHL has its anytime goalscorers. And with both types of player props, the bets usually come with plus-money odds attached to them, so they're a favorite among all types of sports bettors.

Lightning vs. Rangers
By Tony Sartori
The first game of TNT's doubleheader on Wednesday evening features an Eastern Conference tilt with the New York Rangers hosting the Tampa Bay Lightning. While Andrei Vasilevskiy is obviously one of the all-time greats, he has not really found his footing this season (yet).
He possesses an .899 SV% through 26 starts and has allowed three goals in each of his past three starts, as well as in five of his past seven. Guys are scoring on him, and if that is to continue on Wednesday, then I feel that Artemi Panarin will have a hand in that.
Panarin has been a goalscoring machine this season, potting 31 pucks through 50 games. Entering this matchup in particularly good form, he has scored in four of his past five games.
Not only is he a threat at even-strength, but Panarin is also a problem on special teams; he co-leads the team with nine goals on the man-advantage. That stat is important to note against Tampa, a team that ranks 26th in penalty minutes taken per game.
Panarin recorded a hat trick against the Bolts back in December, and Vasilevskiy was also in net for that contest. We are catching a good price on Panarin to score once again at +125 via Betway.
I would play this line up to +120, which is where many other major sportsbooks, including FanDuel, have set Panarin's odds.
Pick: Artemi Panarin Anytime Goalscorer (+125 at Betway)
Stars vs. Maple Leafs
By Tony Sartori
The other early-window game on Wednesday evening features the Toronto Maple Leafs and Dallas Stars. Oddsmakers also expect a high-scoring affair in this game with the total set at 6.5 across the board.
That bodes well for backing goalscorers, or at least Dallas forward Roope Hintz. He leads the Stars with 22 goals and is also tied for second on the team with five power-play goals.
Once again, this is important to note as the Leafs rank in the bottom half of the league in both penalty minutes per game and penalty kill percentage. Toronto is also extremely inefficient defensively at 5-on-5, ranking 25th in expected goals against per 60 minutes (xGA/60).
When a team is poor defensively both at even strength and on the penalty kill, then life gets extremely difficult for whoever is tasked with guarding the cage, which in this case is expected to be Ilya Samsonov. Through 20 starts in the crease this season, Samsonov is 8-4-6 with a .879 SV% and 3.35 GAA.
We are catching a great price on Hintz to score at +220 via FanDuel, which is 60 cents longer than the rest of the market at the time of writing. I would play this number to +200.
