Check out Tony Sartori's NHL picks with anytime goalscorer best bets for Wednesday, May 8.

NHL games tonight include two pivotal matchups as the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs continues. I have two NHL anytime goalscorer picks for today's doubleheader with Bruins vs. Panthers Game 2 (7:30 p.m. ET) and Oilers vs. Canucks Game 1 (10 p.m. ET).

Betting on NHL anytime goalscorers is simple enough: If your player scores a goal at any point in the game, your bet is a winner. MLB has its dingers; the NHL has its anytime goalscorers. And with both types of player props, the bets usually come with plus-money odds attached to them, so they're a favorite among all types of sports bettors.

Check out all of the analysis with my favorite anytime goalscorer predictions for tonight's NHL postseason action below.

Game 2 of this second-round series between the Boston Bruins and Florida Panthers kicks off Wednesday's NHL doubleheader. Boston won Game 1 in commanding fashion with a 5-1 victory while Florida had no answers defensively.

Goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky surrendered four goals on 28 shots for a mere .857 SV%. He has now allowed three or more goals in three of his past four starts, posting a 2-2 record with a .884 SV% and 3.54 GAA over that stretch.

These woes could continue against the Bruins, a team Bobrovsky is 0-3-2 against over the past five meetings with a fade-worthy .868 SV% and 3.41 GAA. That brings us to Boston forward Morgan Geekie, who has now scored in two of his past three games, including in Game 1 of this series against Bobrovsky.

Geekie has been centering the first line alongside David Pastrnak, so it makes sense that the defense's focus is sometimes taken off of him. Geekie has capitalized upon that fact, and at +490, there are far worse fliers than to take in Game 2 and to find the back of the net once again.

Pick: Morgan Geekie (+490 at FanDuel)

The second contest of Wednesday's doubleheader features Game 1 between the Vancouver Canucks and Edmonton Oilers. Goaltender Stuart Skinner had a turbulent first round for Edmonton, allowing three or more goals in three of his five starts.

When he's been on, he's been sharp. But that was not consistently the case, and he got slaughtered by Vancouver this season.

Over Skinner's four starts against the Canucks this season, he went 0-3 (was pulled early in one and was not credited for the loss) with a concerning .830 SV% and 4.60 GAA. Boeser scored six goals over those four games, so I am going to go right back to that trend until the wheels fall off the track.

On top of that trend, Boeser enters this contest in good form with four goals over his past four games. Finally, we are catching a particularly good price on this line at +195 via BetMGM, a number that is 15-35 cents longer than the rest of the market at the time of writing.

Pick: Brock Boeser (+195 at BetMGM)
