Check out my same-game parlay (SGP) for Stars vs. Oilers as Tony Sartori makes his NHL predictions for Game 6.

Game 6 of this competitive Western Conference Final will get underway on Sunday night (8 p.m. ET, TNT & truTV) at Rogers Place in Edmonton with the Dallas Stars vs. Edmonton Oilers.

The latest Stars vs. Oilers odds have Edmonton priced as a moderate -137 favorite while the over/under is set at 5.5 for tonight's clash in Canada.

Find out how I am tackling Game 6 with a +517 SGP at FanDuel as I make a Stars vs. Oilers SGP pick for Sunday.

NHL Predictions: SGP for Stars vs. Oilers Game 6

My Stars vs. Oilers same-game parlay for Game 6 is a three-legger and will focus on the total, a player prop and a side.

The SGP's trio of bets includes:

  • Under 5.5 (-114)
  • Wyatt Johnston to Record 1+ Points (-113)
  • Dallas Stars ML (+116)

Under 5.5

While both teams possess powerhouse offenses, both blue lines have been up to the task. Among the 16 playoff teams this postseason, both teams rank in the top five in expected goals against per 60 minutes (xGA/60).

Furthermore, both goaltenders are in good form. Jake Oettinger is 10-8 this postseason with a .915 SV% and 2.25 GAA.

Meanwhile, Stuart Skinner is 5-2 over his past seven starts with a .908 SV% and 1.92 GAA. Subsequently, there have been five or fewer total goals scored in three of the first five games of this series.

Wyatt Johnston to Record 1+ Points

Although this doesn't correlate greatly with the under, Dallas forward Wyatt Johnston has scored in the past four games of this series. Five or fewer total goals were scored in two of those four outings, so it is certainly possible for both to come to fruition.

On top of that, Johnston has just simply been the Stars' best offensive player this postseason. He leads the team in goals and co-leads the team in points.

Johnston has also had his fingerprints all over this series, recording five points over the past four games.

Dallas Stars ML

If we need a low-scoring game but Johnston to record a point, then a correlated outcome would be the Stars winning in something along the lines of a 3-1 game. I just trust Dallas all over the ice more than I trust Edmonton.

Dallas boasts the better defense and goaltender. Yes, Edmonton has the more name brand superstars in McDavid and Draisaitl and a powerhouse offense to go with It.

However, the Stars possess a deeper forward group that can counter with its depth. This postseason, at 5-on-5, Dallas ranks higher than the Oilers in expected goals for per 60 minutes (xGF/60), xGA/60 and expected goal differential per 60 minutes.
