The Stanley Cup Finals get underway on Saturday, June 8.
Bets have been rolling in on each team as bettors try to take their side for sport's most famous trophy.
They have also been putting their money on the Conn Smythe Trophy, also known as the MVP of the Stanley Cup Final.
There is one player who has garnered the most interest and that would be Connor McDavid, who is trying to add to his legacy with his first Stanley Cup.
McDavid is the favorite to win the Conn Smythe Trophy. He is +200 at BetMGM. McDavid accounts for 9.4% of the tickets and 15.3% of the handle. He is the second-biggest liability for BetMGM.
The other two big liabilities for BetMGM are on the Panthers. Matthew Tkachuk is the second-biggest liability. Tkachuk accounts for 7.9% of the bets and 14.5% of the handle. He is +600 to win the award.
The other is the Panthers' captain, Aleksander Barkov. He is +400 to win the Conn Smythe.
“In a perfect world for BetMGM, the Panthers bring home the StanleyCup in Game 7," Matthew Rasp, Sports Trader at BetMGM, said. "Bettors have been hammering McDavid, Barkov and Bobrovsky props all postseason and we expect the same going into the StanleyCupFinal.”
Panthers goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky is the second-largest favorite, along with Barkov, to win the Conn Smythe. He is currently at +400. Bobrovsky accounts for 8.2% of the tickets 5.8% of the handle.
