Lions vs Packers Preview, Parlay Picks
The Packers enter Thanksgiving with a 7-3-1 record and trail the first-place Bears by a half-game in the NFC North.
Quarterback Jordan Love leads Green Bay with 2,560 passing yards, 15 touchdowns and three interceptions.
Detroit has posted a 7-4 early-season record and sits one game behind Chicago. Dan Campbell’s team entered the year as the betting favorite to win the NFC North; the Lions can move back into first place with a win and a Bears loss.
Jared Goff leads the Lions offense with 2,769 passing yards, three touchdowns and five interceptions.
Lions Moneyline (-150)
Detroit has played its best football at home this season (4-1).
Green Bay has struggled offensively, averaging just 19.9 points per game over its last three contests. The status of Josh Jacobs is also up in the air as he missed last week's game with a knee injury.
Detroit, meanwhile, ranks second in the NFL in scoring at 29.6 points per game.
I expect the Lions offense to set the pace in this matchup and ultimately be too much for the Packers to keep up with.
According to our Evan Abrams (from his Thanksgiving betting primer), the Packers are 1-7 straight up in their last eight games against the Lions. That one win, of course, was in Week 1 of this season so this also profiles as a revenge spot for the Lions.
