The Chiefs have won the AFC four of the last five years with the lone exception the 2021 season when they fell in the conference championship game to the Bengals. So, it shouldn’t come as a shock that they’re favored to do so once again as they look to make history as the first team to ever win three-straight Super Bowls.
The Ravens have the second-best odds after falling in the conference championship game a year ago to Kansas City. They’re led by reigning MVP Lamar Jackson, who won the award for the second-time in his career. They also added Derrick Henry over the offseason and will get back Mark Andrews, who missed a significant portion of the 2023 campaign with a knee injury.
Speaking of season-ending injuries, the Bengals went in the tank last year after Joe Burrow hurt his wrist in the same exact game Andrews went down. Oddsmakers are bullish on the Bengals chances now that he’s healthy as they have the third-best odds to win the conference. Cincinnati made the conference championship game two straight seasons prior to last year.
Meanwhile, the Texans look to take the next step after shocking the NFL world by winning the AFC South last season. They’re led by C.J. Stroud, who won Rookie of the Year after completing 319-of-499 passes for 4,108 yards and 23 touchdowns to guide them to their first division title since 2019. Winning the AFC would be a major accomplishment as it would mark the first conference championship in Texans history.
The Jets and Bills are tied for the fifth-best odds to win the conference, followed by the Dolphins, Chargers, Jaguars and Browns.
