College Basketball Futures Betting
An NCAA Basketball "futures" bet is a bet on an event that will be determined later in a given season — beyond just the current day or week. Often, college basketball futures center around results like betting on a team to win their conference or the NCAA Tournament. If the selected team wins the event on which the bet was placed, the bettor wins their wager.
Futures odds are associated with bigger payouts because they are much harder to predict. As such, a bettor can usually expect "plus-money" on any futures bet with odds ranging anywhere from +250 to +1100 depending on the team. Even the best teams, or favorites, to win the NCAA Tournament at the beginning of the year will have favorable odds because so much could happen from the beginning of the season to the end. Futures are available throughout the NCAA College Basketball season for conference outcomes and player awards as well as the tournament itself.

Tulsa (8–4) has slipped to second after recent stumbles, while Temple, Memphis, and Charlotte sit in a three-way tie at 7–4, keeping the hunt for a double-bye incredibly volatile. Meanwhile, Florida Atlantic (6–6) has fallen toward the middle of the pack after a five-game slide. While UConn (23–2, 13–1) remains the favorite, the race for the top seed is a dead heat with St. John’s, who sits just a half-game back with a 12–1 conference record. Villanova (10–3) remains a dangerous threat in third, but the tournament field is wide open as perennial powers like Creighton and Marquette fight for positioning. For the 44th consecutive year, the "World's Most Famous Arena" will host as teams vie for the championship and an automatic NCAA Tournament berth.

Michigan State sits just on the edge of that top four, creating a high-stakes battle as the regular season winds down.
At the bottom of the standings, a tense logjam persists. Minnesota, Maryland, and Rutgers are fighting to climb out of the bottom four to avoid the opening-day "play-in" games. With Northwestern and Oregon currently occupying the 17th and 18th spots, every remaining conference matchup at the United Center will be decisive for postseason positioning.
