The Cougars finished the regular season in the top five of the AP Poll, led by a backcourt that excels in both scoring and perimeter lockdown. Houston’s path to the Sweet 16 was a display of sheer force. They opened with a 31-point drubbing of Idaho and followed it up with a dominant 88–57 performance against No. 10 Texas A&M. The moneyline number signifies the potential payout for each team. Someone betting on Houston would have to bet $480 to win $100 whereas a bettor would win $360 with a wager of $100 on Memphis.

Houston Point Spread

Users can also place a point spread wager on the Houston Cougars. This requires a bettor to correctly select the margin of victory by a particular team, rather than simply who wins. Here's the same Houston vs. Memphis matchup as an example.

Oddsmakers set a margin of victory total known as the spread. Again, juice or vig comes into play with over/unders. Betting over 141.5 points means in this case that a bettor would have to wager $110 to earn $100. Betting under 141.5 points would mean a bettor would earn $100 for every $110 risked.
