Though he's given up 15 earned runs and four home runs in his last two starts against the Dodgers and Padres, it seriously does not define his season. Keller has, for the most part, been quite strong this year—3.95 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, and a 21% strikeout rate in his 24 starts. Yes, the Dodgers and Padres represent tough opponents, but he now faces off against a Rangers team that has been slightly less fearsome against right-handed pitchers on the year and last month. Opposite him on the mound will be Cody Bradford for Texas. The lefty Bradford has been serviceable with a 3.50 ERA and 1.00 WHIP across seven appearances. Of late, though, he hasn't found his sharpness, turning in a 5.94 ERA across his last four starts while getting tagged for four home runs across 16 2/3 frames. The Pirates have hit well of late against southpaws and are primed to take advantage early of holes in Bradford's game. The Rangers have also been scuffling at home, where they are hitting just .238 and have lost five of the last seven. Their bullpen has also been shaky, as it posts a 4.89 ERA recently over the past 10 games, while the Pirates' bullpen seems to be a bit more solid.
