Danielle Alvari
Summary
Danielle Alvari contributes to The Action Network's WNBA coverage, writing game previews, and joining podcasts. She started betting in 2020 and her first bet was on the WNBA finals (Game 1, Storm -5.5, it cashed). Prior to joining Action in 2024, she worked as a host and analyst on VSIN and started their first ever WNBA betting podcast.
Experience
Alvari started her sports broadcasting career as the Weekend Sports Anchor for CBS NewsChannel 5 in Cheyenne, WY where she covered high school sports and the University of Wyoming (who at the time, happened to have a very talented quarterback by the name of Josh Allen.) She went on to work with Cal-Hi Sports Bay Area and the NFL Network while producing her own weekly show: 2 Minute Warning with Danielle Alvari. She started working with the Vegas Stats and Information Network in 2020 as a host and analyst covering nearly every sport from the NFL, to the NBA, college football, college basketball, and, of course, the WNBA. She went on to co-host alongside Jadakiss and Set Free Richardson on the DraftKings show, The Starting Five, which took a deep dive into all things NBA culture and betting with guests ranging from JJ Redick to Kevin Hart and more.
Alvari found an edge in betting the WNBA and focused her attention on spreads and totals finishing the 2023 season on a 13-1 run. In addition to the on-air shows for VSiN, she also contributed as the lead WNBA writer providing season and game previews. Her former WNBA podcast, Bet the W, featured top WNBA analysts and guests providing listeners with in-depth and actionable information. Her absolute favorite way to bet the WNBA is via live betting, which year after year has turned out to be her most profitable category.
Education
Danielle graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in Communication Studies.
