Following San Diego's pitching woes against Arizona, it will look to turn things around behind rookie Adam Mazur, who is making his 7th career start.
The Padres rallied past the Rangers, 6-4, in Mazur's last trip to the mound, marking San Diego's third straight win with the right-hander starting.
Mazur allowed seven hits and four runs in four innings, but the Padres stormed back with four unanswered runs to get the Minnesota native off the hook.
At home, Mazur has been involved in three high-scoring games as the Padres have scored at least one run in the first inning each time.
