Minnesota Twins vs New York Yankees MLB Preview

Despite their nine-run outburst yesterday, the Yankees rank 21st this month in wRC+ with a 95 rating compared to their runner-up spot for the season in the same category, which points to a significant dropoff in production in August.

They won't have it so easy tonight, as they will face Joe Ryan.

The Twins' starter has a 2.63 ERA in his last seven outings and has better away splits, with a 2.55 ERA on the road compared to his 3.03 ERA at home.

Ryan has only allowed three runs combined across his past two starts.

Cam Schlittler will take the mound for the Yankees, and although his stats are not flashy, at least he has been consistent.

He offers short outings (between four and 1/3 and five and 1/3 innings), and he has only given up two or three runs per start this season.

Plus, Minnesota's lineup is not doing great either in August. They rank 24th in wRC+ (86) and 28th in average (.219) and OBP (.283).

Our Bet Labs recommendation is to go with the under.

The Silent Sharp Unders system targets regular-season MLB games where both teams are performing well, yet the total has quietly dropped from open to close.

These are games featuring competent, winning teams with recent success, stable weather conditions, and closing totals in a common scoring range.

Despite both teams showing strength, the market subtly favors the under, likely due to matchup specifics, pitching, or pace factors.

By following this soft signal —when the public eye is more focused on win streaks and not totals— this system finds value in betting against inflated scoring expectations.
