MLB Home Run Picks for May 2

Cedric Mullins Home Run (+450)
vs. Royals (SP: RHP Michael Wacha)

Cedric Mullins is off to a fantastic start this year, with six homers in 28 games.
He’s in a great spot to smash his seventh on Friday.
Michael Wacha has been good at limiting bombs to left-handed hitters over the past few seasons, but he’s due for some massive negative regression, with a 45% fly-ball rate allowed in each of the past two years.
The weather in Baltimore should be great for hitting, with temperatures in the mid-80s and winds blowing out at five MPH during game time.
I make the fair odds for this home run prop closer to +400.

Vinnie Pasquantino Home Run (+375)
vs. Orioles (SP: RHP Dean Kremer)

Vinnie Pasquantino got stronger in the offseason, and his fly-ball rate has skyrocketed to 57% so far in 2025.
He has a great matchup on Friday against Dean Kremer in an excellent ballpark.
Kremer has allowed 1.59 home runs per nine innings to left-handed hitters in his career, behind high fly-ball and hard-contact rates allowed.
This ballpark has been MLB’s second-best for left-handed home runs over the past three seasons. The ball should be flying with temperatures in the 80s and the wind blowing out slightly.
I make the fair odds on this home run prop closer to +350.

Kerry Carpenter Home Run (+500)
vs. Angels (SP: RHP Jose Soriano)

I don’t love the matchup for Kerry Carpenter, but the odds are still far too long.
Jose Soriano is a big ground-ball pitcher, but Carpenter can offset that, as he boasts a massive 56% fly-ball rate this year.
Carpenter has been hammering the ball since the beginning of last year, with 25 homers in his past 116 games.
The ballpark has seen a big upgrade this year, as it sits as MLB’s seventh-best park for left-handed power.
I make the true odds on this home run prop closer to +400.
