Zack Wheeler &
Marcus Stroman
Matchup | Nationals vs. Phillies · Guardians vs. Cubs |
First Pitch | 4:05 p.m. ET · 7:15 p.m. ET |
Today, we will create a custom No Runs First Inning (NRFI) bet by analyzing the performances of two pitchers. This personalized bet can be crafted through sportsbooks such as DraftKings and Barstool.
This NRFI bet is different from a traditional NRFI, as it combines two separate half innings from the first innings of two different games. This approach allows you to have a better edge and tailor the bet to your preferences.
Our first selection for today's custom NRFI features Zack Wheeler, the ace of the Philadelphia Phillies.
Wheeler has been exceptional this season, holding a strong 13-3 record to the NRFI. His home NRFI record is near perfect at 7-1. Since last season, Wheeler's overall NRFI performance stands at an impressive 40-6.
As a division rival, Wheeler has faced the Nationals' hitters frequently, and he's consistently held them in check. Notable performances include Corey Dickerson (3-for-17), Luis Garcia (4-for-23), Keibert Ruiz (0-for-8), Lane Thomas (1-for-9) and Riley Adams (0-for-1).
Our second selection for today's custom NRFI is Marcus Stroman of the Chicago Cubs.
Stroman has been impressive this season, holding a remarkable 15-2 NRFI record. His home NRFI split is flawless, boasting an 8-0 record. Since 2022, Stroman's overall NRFI performance is an impressive 36-6.
When facing leadoff hitters, Stroman has shown his prowess, holding them to a .130 average this season while allowing only six hits in 46 at-bats.
Although Stroman has a small sample size against the Guardians' hitters, he's dominated the ones he's faced in the past, including Josh Bell (2-for-13), Josh Naylor (0-for-3) and Jose Ramirez (6-for-25).
This custom NRFI selection is currently priced at -180 on DraftKings, while Barstool is offering an even more advantageous line at -155.
As always, six outs to glory.
