We got ourselves a Sunday sweep, but now we must keep the ball rolling into a new week.
Tonight, new series' begin, and new edges present themselves in the player prop market. Three starters are worth targeting.
Let's meet them by diving into our top MLB prop picks for Monday, April 1.
MLB Prop Picks Tonight
The Phillies were able to salvage the final game of their opening series against Atlanta yesterday and will now look to extend their winning streak to two games by handing the ball to Cristopher Sanchez.
Sanchez made the jump to the rotation last season and was tremendous as his ability to throw strikes and generate groundballs is like none other. He racks up quick outs, which means he rarely walks anyone.
Last season, Sanchez ranked in the 98 percentile in walk rate as just four percent of batters reached via a free pass. That trend should continue as he faces a free-swinging Reds lineup tonight that boasts the eighth-lowest walk rate in the majors through the first series of the year.
We also have a drastic edge with the current price, as Sanchez went under this number in 85 percent of his starts last season. That gives us a whopping implied odds of -567.
Pick: Cristopher Sanchez Under 1.5 Walks Allowed (-145 at DraftKings)

Now we are going to begin fading the men on the mound, and the first guy to target is the New York Mets' starter, Sean Manaea. Manaea showed us improved stuff last year as a swingman with the San Francisco Giants, and that upside was enough to get him a new deal in Queens.
However, he has a tough assignment for his first start of the year as he takes on a Detroit Tigers lineup that is trending upward. His matchup, combined with not having pitched the past five innings this spring, is the reason to fade him here.
Manaea did show us down the stretch last season that he can work deeper into games, but in his first start of the year, we need to temper expectations as Detroit could send him to the showers early.
Also, this price is about 15 cents off the rest of the market, so be sure to shop for the best number available.
Pick: Sean Manaea Under 15.5 Outs Recorded (-136 at BetRivers)

Luis Gil earned the fifth spot in the Yankees' rotation by dominating this spring. He allowed five earned runs in 15 innings and struck out 23 batters.
However, he only built his pitch count up to 63 in his final start, which means his opportunity to rack up strikeouts in this outing will be limited. It's likely we won't see him work past the fifth inning, meaning he'll need to rack up multiple strikeouts in one inning to go over this number.
That is no easy task against this Arizona Diamondbacks' lineup. The D'backs are fresh off a World Series run, and their lineup started the year off hot by beating up on the Colorado Rockies' staff.
They did so with a flurry of ball in play as they come into this matchup with the lowest team strikeout rate in the majors.
Our Action Labs projection accounts for all of this and has Gil slated for just 4.5 strikeouts tonight, making the under one of the best plays on the slate.
Pick: Luis Gil Under 5.5 Strikeouts (-115 at bet365)
