There's something different about baseball compared to any other sport: Weather plays a key role in the outcome every single day.
Whether the forecast shows high winds or cold temperatures, there are a number of variables that can either strengthen or weaken an offense and help or hurt a pitching staff.
Tuesday is no different, as we have a 16-game MLB slate that will undoubtedly be impacted by weather in one way or another. We're targeting an over at Fenway Park, as the wind and temperatures should aid the Rays and Red Sox offenses.

We've gotten to the point in the season when some games are being played with summer-like temperatures and others are still feeling very fall-ish.
The key for betting overs is to lock in on those warm-weather games, especially if the wind provides an added boost. That's exactly what we're seeing in Boston today, with temperatures in the low 70s and a 10-15 mph wind blowing out to left center.
The extra carry on any well-hit ball should help give a little boost to runs scored, as evidenced by a 10% increase in total runs scored in 110 similar weather games in Fenway.

MLB Weather Forecast for Tuesday, May 14
It will rain a bit but never enough to stop play. Winds out to left at 10-15 mph.
Game 1: One or two showers. I don't think it's enough to stop the game, but I guess I can't fully rule out a late start or delay.
Game 2: Looks dry tonight. Winds out to right and right to left at 15 mph.
It never rains hard… but it might rain for 90% of this game. It likely comes down to this: if it's raining at first pitch, they'll never play. If it happens to be dry at first pitch, they may start it up and just play a miserable game in the rain.
Hourly forecast shows some rain, but high-res models look good to me. Nothing more than a sprinkle.
A few strong storms in the area tonight. The coverage isn't impressive, so they likely play it dry. But if one of those storms meanders over the ballpark, we'll get a delay for sure. Pre-game radar will likely let us know which way it'll go.
