The Nationals are sending veteran Miles Mikolas to the mound, but his hold on a rotation spot appears tenuous at best. He's been hard hit all season long and is in danger of falling out of this rotation if this keeps up.
He had an absolute implosion where he was just eating up innings earlier in the year. I think you gave up 11 earned, and they just let him suffer out there on the bump.
They realize he's not good, trying everything they can to avoid having to pitch him. In some of his starts, they'll put an opener in front of him, and then they'll put a long man behind him, so he only has to go for maybe four innings.
The Chicago White Sox offense is currently centered around Munetaka Murakami. He's been mashing the ball this year, at least from a power perspective, with five home runs in his last six games.
