Charlotte Hornets vs Dallas Mavericks NBA Preview
Despite their depleted frontline, the Mavericks are still hanging in pretty well, though it's apparent the operation is strained, especially if PJ Washington (ankle – 0 points in 35 minutes of Tuesday vs. the Lakers) can't make the post.
We already know Anthony Davis, Derrick Lively, and Daniel Gafford aren't available for this one.
The Mavericks offense has bogged down the past two games, barely scoring 100 points per game in losses to the Warriors and Lakers.
Kyrie Irving is almost keeping the Mavs afloat by himself, scoring 35 twice in the last three games.
But when speaking of offensive issues, the Hornets are in a different category right now, held to barely 89 points per game across their last three, all blowout losses by 36 points or more (sheesh). I'll take the Under.

Klay Thompson Under 16.5 Points
Klay Thompson had a big game in that primetime slot against the Lakers last time out, but he gets a tough spot here against the Hornets, who have a sneaky-solid defense.
They also defend the 3-point line well, as they have allowed the 4th-lowest 3PT% in the NBA this season.
Klay likely won't project for 30+ minutes every night, and in a game with a 10-point spread, there are multiple paths to him playing less than 30 minutes tonight. I project him for only 12.8 points in this spot.
Mark Williams Over 12.5 Points
It has been a tough stretch lately for Mark Williams, but it's hard to hold these poor showings in blowouts against him too much.
This is a good bounce-back spot, as the Mavs are a top-10 points matchup for centers. Williams projects for 14.8 points in tonight's matchup.
