Bucks vs Rockets NBA Wednesday Preview

Both of these teams are units that I want to target in terms of Overs right now. Ever since Reed Sheppard joined Houston's starting lineup, the Rockets have been much more potent offensively, generating significantly more space within their sets.

We saw Tari Eason shooting well yesterday against the Knicks, which highlights that many of Houston's offensive woes weren't about shot selection, but simply about missing good looks. That was the biggest difference between the first and second halves of the season.

While some point to Steven Adams being sidelined or the lack of a true point guard, the Rockets were literally the number one offense in the NBA at the beginning of the year without Fred VanVleet, and they remain the best offensive rebounding team in the league.

If you watch their games, it is clear the Rockets are still getting quality shots; Eason, for example, had a brutal stretch where he couldn't buy a bucket, leading his mom to tweet at KD asking to help her son.

Given the relatively new circumstances, this has become a prime Over spot for Houston.

Similarly, the Bucks shoot a massive volume of three-pointers. Even with Giannis Antetokounmpo sidelined, they have built a roster designed to surround a primary driver with four high-level shooters; they have four rotation players shooting over 40% from deep.

That level of efficiency from the perimeter can easily drive games Over the number, as evidenced by the Bucks torching the Mavericks for north of 120 points yesterday.

Bucks vs Rockets Picks, Betting Predictions

This matchup should feature plenty of threes and improved efficiency from both sides.

Everyone has been hanging big numbers on Milwaukee lately, as it seems every opponent is able to score on them with ease.

I loved what we saw from Houston’s offense against the Knicks, and the trust in Sheppard finally seems to be there.

The Rockets' starting lineup looks excellent with Sheppard. Houston should have no problem putting up a big number on this Milwaukee defense.

Despite Houston being on a back-to-back, the offensive trends for both teams make this a clear Over spot.
