Game 1 of the NBA Finals was a wild ride, but in the end, the Spurs kept binging and bonging their way towards the title with another win. Now the Spurs will look to bounce back.

We’ll have a lot more on the matchups and how to bet it tomorrow, but these are the picks that immediately caught my eye in the aftermath of Game 1.

Continue below for my NBA Finals Game 2 lookahead picks for Knicks vs. Spurs Game 2 on Friday, June 5.

Spurs -5.5 (-115)

Look, I get it if you don’t want to come along for the ride. After all, I was on the Spurs in Game 1.

Teams with a better point differential at home in Game 1 of the Finals were 17-2 SU coming in. They are now 17-3.

The Knicks have won 12 straight playoff games. TWELVE. A DOZEN. THAT’S INSANE. But the spot is the spot.

Home favorites that lose Game 1 usually win Game 2. Home favorites that lose Game 1 are 4-0 SU, 3-0-1 ATS since 2003 via KillerSports.com. The two previous teams who lost as home favorites with a better point differential both won Game 2.

The Spurs built a 14-point lead in the third quarter. This game was there for them to take, and they just couldn’t get shots to fall.

The Spurs will improve their process in Game 2. They didn’t get to the rim enough, Victor Wembanyama was bad, and they were unable to finish in transition where they’ve been so good.

If you want to keep riding the Knicks, go for it. God knows I’ve lost enough money going against them the last two rounds.

The market agrees that the Spurs are the right side in Game 2, though. This line opened -4.5 like Game 1 and was immediately steamed to -6 in some places.

Pick: Spurs -5.5 (-115)

Julian Champagnie Over 2.5 Three-Pointers Made (-106)

The oddsmakers are still hanging this line after Julian Champagnie hit five threes on 10 attempts in Game 1. Guess what? That’s not going to change.

Champagnie got those looks as a product of the Knicks’ defensive coverage, and New York definitely isn't changing that coverage after winning Game 1.

Champagnie went 0-of-4 in the second half; he can hit this on that many attempts in a game. Ridiculous number.

Pick: Julian Champagnie Over 2.5 Three-Pointers Made (-106)

Miles McBride Under 5.5 Points (-110)

Miles McBride only played 11 minutes in Game 1, and it’s clear that Mike Brown trusts Landry Shamet more.

Not only that, but Shamet's minutes are likely going to be taken from either McBride or Josh Hart, and Hart was phenomenal in Game 1, despite only scoring three points.

Pick: Miles McBride Under 5.5 Points (-110)
