The second game of the Jedd Fisch era at Washington will be played on Thursday afternoon when the Huskies host the Eastern Michigan Eagles.

Not much was learned about Washington in Week 1 since it beat FCS Weber State 35-3, while Eastern Michigan took down UMass on the road 28-14.

This is my Eastern Michigan vs. Washington prediction.

Eastern Michigan Betting Preview: No Signs Of Decay

After three straight trips to bowl games, Eastern Michigan showed no signs of decay in its road win over UMass.

Granted, the Minutemen aren't the stiffest of competition, but it's notable that the Eagles left no doubt and led 28-7 with five minutes left in the game.

Buffalo transfer quarterback Cole Snyder guided the offense well, completing 17 of 28 passes for 241 yards and a touchdown. He started two years for the Bulls with mixed team-wide success but proved to be a decent quarterback, with 31 touchdown passes and 17 interceptions across those two seasons.

Snyder can also hurt teams with his legs since he rushed for 28 yards and a touchdown against UMass. He complements a backfield that features senior running backs Delbert Mimms III and Dontae McMillan.

It looks like Snyder also has some good options in the passing game, as Oran Singleton, Terry Lockett Jr., and Markus Allen each had at least 61 receiving yards in Week 1.

On the defensive side, Eastern Michigan showed that it could get after the passer. The Eagles recorded six sacks against UMass, with Justin Jefferson leading the way with two sacks. EMU's pass rush could be an X-factor against Washington's inexperienced offensive line.

Washington Betting Preview: Skill-Position Depth

There were many questions about the Huskies after losing many players and Kalen DeBoer to Alabama, and while Washington couldn't address every concern against Weber State, it didn't add to the list of concerns, either.

One thing that stood out in Week 1 for the Huskies was their depth of skill players. Arizona transfer running back Jonah Coleman looks to be the best player on the team after rushing for 127 yards and three touchdowns. His thick frame and low center of gravity make him a brutal tackle for any defense.

Sixth-year wideout Giles Jackson led Washington with 10 catches for 98 yards, and talented sophomore Denzel Boston stood out with 76 receiving yards and a touchdown. Mississippi State transfer quarterback Will Rogers, who threw for 250 yards and one touchdown in Week 1, will have plenty of quality receiving options this season.

Washington's new offensive line allowed two sacks against Weber State, and it could have had more trouble with Eastern Michigan. Still, Washington should be able to handle the Eagles up front, and Fisch should be able to find ways to work around some offensive line deficiencies.

Not much was learned about Washington's defense against an FCS foe. The Huskies' defense has more continuity than their offense, with linebackers Alphonzo Tuputala and Carson Bruener back from last year's excellent team, along with defensive backs Elijah Jackson, Kamren Fabiculanan, and Thaddeus Dixon.

Eastern Michigan vs Washington Pick & Prediction

Ultimately, Washington will have too much offensive firepower for Eastern Michigan to handle.

Fisch and Rogers know what they are doing and will be able to distribute the ball to playmakers in space, which will be enough for the Huskies to cover in Seattle.

Pick: Washington -24.5 (Play to -25.5)
