Georgia Tech vs Boston College: What To Watch For
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Betting Preview: Program Construction Near Completion
Brent Key has done a phenomenal job building this program from the ground up, and this is the season where the sweat equity is starting to pay off.
It helps when you have a stud quarterback and leader in Haynes King, who does a little bit of everything for this team.
The Yellow Jackets were one of the last unbeatens in all of college football before stumbling on the road at NC State in their most recent outing.
Can they turn the page, flush out that loss and bounce back with everything still in front of them? I believe so, in part because I have a lot of respect for this coaching staff as well as some of the veteran players in the locker room.
That said, for Georgia Tech to have a chance to win an ACC title, it must clean some things up on the defensive end.
NC State went for 48 points in its upset victory in Raleigh and seemingly got whatever it wanted whenever it wanted it. The tackling must improve, and GT needs to do a better job of limiting big plays.
It may not matter too much this week against a porous Boston College offense, but it will absolutely matter in matchups against Pitt and Georgia to close out the year.
Offensively, GT continues to hum along and is arguably the most explosive unit in the conference. I don't see BC putting up much resistance, and the weather should be relatively mild, limiting its effect in this game.
Boston College Eagles Betting Preview: Defensive Struggles Define Season
After showing a little bit of fight against Notre Dame, it was back to reality for BC against SMU.
The Eagles enter this one losers of nine in a row, with the only win on the season coming in the opener against Fordham.
Injuries have certainly plagued Bill O'Brien's team throughout this season, which has made it more difficult to get any real momentum going.
Boston College has been competitive in a chunk of its ACC games, but last week and the Pittsburgh matchup back in early October were two where things spiraled quickly.
With just two games remaining, it's hard to envision any real positive changes that can occur so late in the season.
The finale against a depleted Syracuse team could be winnable, but I don't really see an inspired effort coming from BC in this one after last week's disappointment and a bye week on the horizon. That point only gets hammered more when you dive a little bit deeper into this matchup.
The dual-threat nature of Georgia Tech's King is going to present a wide range of problems for the Eagles defense, which has struggled against mobile quarterbacks throughout the year.
If BC does sell out to stop the run, that could spell trouble in the secondary against a Yellow Jacket offense with some capable wideouts.
On the other side of the ball, whether its youngster Dylan Lonergan or Grayson James at QB, inconsistency remains a key theme for this offense.
The Georgia Tech defense has been vulnerable at times, but BC just doesn't have the weapons or rhythm to fully take advantage.

How To Make Georgia Tech vs Boston College Picks
One team has everything still to play for, and the other is simply fighting for pride and a single ACC win at this point. Sometimes that can lead to the motivated team putting additional pressure on itself, but I don't see it in this matchup.
Georgia Tech will likely come out with its hair on fire coming off a loss and then bye week, and Boston College likely won't have the answers.
Getting in on this number before it hits a key number of 17 is important, but I like the Yellow Jackets to win this one convincingly.
They're also the healthier team in this one, and the far and away best unit in this game will be the GT offense.
Give me the Ramblin' Wreck to win and cover as a road favorite, keeping their ACC Championship and College Football Playoff hopes alive in the process.
Pick: Georgia Tech -16.5
