Tigers 2025 Schedule & Betting Odds
Auburn Tigers 2025 Season Preview
The Auburn Tigers enter the 2025 season under head coach Hugh Freeze, now in his third year, aiming to build upon a 5–7 record from the previous season. The team is ranked 11th in the SEC preseason standings, reflecting a challenging path ahead.
Auburn's offense is undergoing significant changes, with former Oklahoma quarterback Jackson Arnold transferring in to lead the unit. He is joined by a revamped receiving corps, including transfers Eric Singleton Jr. and Horatio Fields, alongside promising sophomores Cam Coleman and Malcolm Simmons. The offensive line returns experienced players like Connor Lew and Jeremiah Wright but must improve performance-wise, especially with a weakened running back unit after the departure of Jarquez Hunter.
Defensively, Auburn operates out of a 3–4 scheme under defensive coordinator Nate Woody. The unit is led by linebacker Robert Woodyard Jr. and safety Champ Anthony, both of whom are expected to play key roles in the defense's success. The defensive line is bolstered by the addition of Virginia Tech transfer Xavier Chaplin, providing depth and experience.
Auburn's 2025 schedule features a mix of non-conference and SEC matchups. The season opener is against Baylor on August 29, followed by home games against Ball State on September 6 and South Alabama on September 13. The SEC slate includes road games at Oklahoma on September 20 and Texas A&M on September 27, with a bye week on October 4. The regular season concludes with the annual Iron Bowl against Alabama.
Auburn Tigers Point Spreads
"Covering the spread" is a reference to a spread bet, which is a bet on how much a team will win the game by.
Here’s how a Tigers spread might look:
- Auburn +9.5 (-110)
- Alabama -9.5 (-110)
If the Tigers win 21-20, they’re winners ATS. To win the spread, Auburn would either need to win outright or lose by 9 points or fewer. Alabama, on the other hand, would cover the spread with a win of ten or more points.
Auburn Tigers Over/Unders
Oddsmakers set the total at how many points they think will be scored, so it could be 47 for a game against Alabama, for example. If you took the under, a 21-20 final means your bet pays off no matter who wins the game because they scored a combined 41 points. If you bet over, you’d need there to be at least 48 points scored between the two teams. Ties on the bet are possible, and would result in a void or refund of your stake.
Auburn Tigers Moneylines
Moneyline odds take into account how likely a team is to win the game and adjust payouts accordingly; a winning record doesn’t always mean a profit.
Auburn defeating Arkansas as a -400 favorite is fine, but a $40 bet pays out just $10. If you’re able to catch the Tigers as a +400 underdog, though, a $10 bet on them profits $40. These bets are simplest to understand with $10 or $100 as a unit, but the math is the same regardless.
Auburn Tigers Props
Player props are bets on the stats put up by a player for a single game. You could bet on players' rushing or passing stats.
Auburn Tigers Futures
If you think they’re going to win the conference, you can put your money down on a futures bet.
Futures are wagers that settle at the end of the season, and besides odds to win the conference, popular futures bets include players' odds to win certain end-of-season awards or over/unders on team wins throughout the year.
