The Wisconsin Badgers (5-3, 3-2 Big Ten) will head to Iowa City on Saturday night to take on the Iowa Hawkeyes (5-3, 3-2).
Both programs are 5-3 overall and 3-2 in the Big Ten entering this matchup.
The game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Nov. 2, and can be streamed live on NBC.
When you think about hard-nosed, blue-collar Big Ten football, Wisconsin and Iowa are two of the first programs that come to mind. Iowa has won the last two meetings in the series.
However, Wisconsin holds a 49-46-2 lead all-time in the series and a 10-8 edge when playing for the Heartland Trophy.
Many of the matchups have ended in tight, low-scoring games, and that is reflected in the lines for this year’s matchup. However, that also provides some value on this total.
Iowa is a 3-point favorite on the spread and a -140 favorite on the moneyline with a 41.5-point over/under.

Wisconsin Badgers vs. Iowa Hawkeyes Betting Preview
Wisconsin Badgers Betting Preview
Wisconsin expected to have Miami (FL) transfer quarterback Tyler Van Dyke under center, but he suffered a season-ending injury against Alabama.
Incumbent Braedyn Locke reassumed the starting role, and he comes with a limited ceiling as a career 54% passer. However, in his five starts, the Badgers are 3-2, averaging 30.2 points per game.
Locke will be looking at two receivers: Will Pauling and Vinny Anthony II.
Pauling leads the team with 38 receptions and has snagged four in all but one game this season. He is a yard behind Anthony for the team lead.
Anthony is the team's deep threat, with 382 receiving yards on 20 receptions and three receptions of 40 yards or more.
In recent weeks, Wisconsin has tried to work in talented true freshman running backs Darrion Dupree and Dilin Jones. However, the bell cow remains senior Tawee Walker. The Oklahoma transfer has run for 624 yards on five yards per carry and 10 touchdowns, which is tied for 13th in the FBS.
Wisconsin has enjoyed more success on the ground this season, ranking 33rd nationally in Rushing Success Rate and 67th in Passing Success Rate.
Considering the matchup against the Hawkeyes, it will likely lean on Walker heavily this week.
Iowa Hawkeyes Betting Preview
While Wisconsin has a talented running back room, the best back in this game will be wearing black and gold.
Junior Kaleb Johnson is the nation's second-leading rusher with 1,144 rushing yards, and he is fourth in the FBS with 16 rushing touchdowns. He has scored in every game, with six 100-yard games on the year.
Despite his dominant season, the Hawkeyes rank just 62nd nationally in Rush Success Rate. However, they should be able to move the ball against a relatively weaker Wisconsin front.
Johnson has helped Iowa manage another turbulent season under center. Michigan transfer Cade McNamara has struggled again with six touchdowns, five interceptions, and a 60% completion percentage.
He left last week's game against Northwestern with a concussion and was replaced by Northwestern transfer Brendan Sullivan, who went for 9-for-14 passing with 79 yards and added 41 yards and a touchdown on the ground against his old team.
Sullivan will get the start this week and will add a dual-threat dimension to the offense.
Iowa has one of the nation's most talented tight ends in Luke Lachey, but it has struggled to consistently give him the ball. Sullivan will look to change that this week.

Wisconsin vs. Iowa Pick and Best Bet
The over is 3-6-1 in the last 10 meetings, and four of the last five meetings have had a total of 38.5 or lower.
However, these teams are not as strong defensively as they typically are.
The over is 7-1 in Iowa games this season and its last six games have featured 42 points or more. The over is just 4-4 in Wisconsin games this season. However, six of the eight games have had 41 points.
I'm backing a rare over in this series with a clear weather forecast, trends in our favor, and playmakers on both sides.
Pick: Over 41.5
