- I can see the week 5 headline now: "Rodgers faces undefeated Vikings in London"
- Colin Cowherd gave the Vikings the stamp of approval, announcing that they have a very real chance of making it to the super bowl. I agree with him, and think their super bowl run starts with a win in their rival's house

Against the Titans, the Packers displayed an effective defensive front, allowing just 14 points and forcing three key takeaways. The fact that they held Tennessee to 3-of-9 on third downs shows they can perform under pressure, which will be critical against Minnesota’s dynamic offense. Moreover, the Packers’ offensive balance is evident; they produced 378 total yards against the Titans, including a dominant 188 yards on the ground. This run game will likely play a pivotal role against a Vikings defense that struggled in previous matchups to contain rush-heavy teams.
Minnesota’s last outing against Houston was efficient, but the Texans essentially handed them the game with 11 penalties for 88 yards. While the Vikings capitalized on those mistakes, their offense only posted 274 total yards, and they relied heavily on opportunistic moments rather than sustained drives. Green Bay’s defense, which excels in creating turnovers, will be primed to take advantage of any such mistakes from Minnesota. The Packers have shown a more disciplined approach, despite their own penalty issues last week. With home-field advantage in a divisional matchup, Green Bay’s defense should find ways to pressure the Vikings into similar errors, while their offense will continue to lean on the ground game to control the clock and wear down Minnesota’s front line.
Green Bay’s rushing attack, led by Malik Willis' dual-threat ability, should prove to be a major factor. Willis had 202 passing yards and another 73 yards on the ground against Tennessee, demonstrating that he can be a game-changer both through the air and on the ground. This versatility will make it harder for Minnesota to key in on one aspect of the Packers’ offense. Furthermore, the Packers’ offensive line has been solid, giving their playmakers time to operate, and with 6.4 yards per play last week, they’re finding ways to move the chains consistently. Despite converting just 5-of-14 third downs, this is an area they can clean up against a Vikings defense ranked in the middle of the league.
Minnesota’s defense hasn’t faced a well-balanced attack like Green Bay’s yet this season. Their victory over Houston was more about capitalizing on Texans’ mistakes than outright dominance, and the Packers, playing at home, will present a far more efficient and less mistake-prone opponent. Green Bay’s defense, ranked among the top third of the league in takeaways, should provide enough disruption to keep Minnesota from settling into a rhythm offensively.
