The Las Vegas Raiders (2-2) and Denver Broncos (2-2) will kick off the Sunday afternoon slate of NFL Week 5. Kickoff is set for 4:05 p.m. ET from Empower Field at Mile High in Denver on FOX. The game can be streamed on YouTube TV and other streaming platforms.
The Broncos are consensus 3-point favorites over the Raiders on the spread (Broncos -3). The over/under is currently set at 36 points. The Broncos are -155 favorites to win outright, with the Raiders are +130 to pull off the upset.
The Broncos won 10-9 over the Jets last week. Denver has won back-to-back games as big road underdogs. Bo Nix struggled, though, going 12-of-25 for just 60 yards and a touchdown while Denver ran for 126 yards. The Raiders won 20-16 at home over the Browns. Las Vegas ran for 152 yards, led by 60 from Alexander Mattison and 50 from Zamir White.

Raiders vs. Broncos NFL Week 5
The Broncos defense has been excellent this season, and it gets a great matchup here. The Raiders aren’t going to have Davante Adams, and they already have struggled to run the ball this season.
Gardner Minshew is going to face a defense that ranks in the top five in both pressure rate and DVOA, and it’s first in the NFL in allowing just 4.2 yards per play. When under pressure, Minshew’s passer rating goes from 96 to 62 this season. He’s probably due for more mistakes than he’s already made this season.
And the Raiders' ground game is awful. Las Vegas’ rushing success rate is dead last by a mile. Antonio Pierce is probably going to end up giving Alexander Mattison more carries, and we know how that’s going to go. The minute he’s elevated into a role above being a backup, it all goes downhill.
Overall, there’s nothing this Broncos defense can’t do. Cornerbacks Ja'Quan McMillian and Riley Moss are playing well opposite Patrick Surtain II, who’s one of the best players in the NFL right now.
This Broncos team is already in the middle of the pack in DVOA, and you know Sean Payton is going to keep figuring it out. Last season, he dragged that team to eight wins between Russell Wilson and Jarrett Stidham.
Both of these teams were extremely lucky to win last week. The Browns had an 82-yard touchdown called back for a questionable penalty late in the game that would’ve given them the lead. Denver, meanwhile, snuck out of New York with a 10-9 win over the Jets.
There are more reasons to believe Denver is the more legitimate team here, though. The defense is capable of shutting down the Raiders, while the Vegas defense ranks in the bottom 10 in pretty much every significant metric.
I’d play the Broncos under -3 or on the moneyline.
Pick: Broncos -2.5 (-120)
