- The Steelers won & covered the last 4 matchups vs the Falcons - The Steelers are 9-0 against the spread (ATS) vs the NFC South - The Falcons are 1-11 ATS vs the AFC North - Steelers coach Mike Tomlin is known to cover the spread as an underdog, going 59-35-4 - The Steelers lost the last game of last year by 10+ points, and they are 22-10 following 10 point losses - All things considered we will be FADING the Steelers, because these trends are way too good to be true. The oddsmakers that set this line at (+3.5) for the Steelers know all the same stats I just listed. They want you to comfortably take Tomlin to cover the spread as an underdog again, but Kirk and Bijan will make you regret it if you do - Give me the ATL Falcons (-3.5) #ProSystem #ProProjection #Tailing #Fading #NFLBestBets #NFL #BestBets

The Arthur Smith Bowl should be a bit of a defensive struggle, but I am expecting that to mean a struggle to run the ball for the Falcons. Mooney has been absolutely buried with bad QB play in Chicago, and is about to experience a renaissance with Kirk Cousins and Michael Penix in ATL. The line of 2.5 is simply too low based on our projections at RotoGrinders.

Pittsburgh Steelers Odds, Spreads, History & More

Death, taxes and Mike Tomlin’s Pittsburgh Steelers managing to at least go .500 in a season. With a 10-7 campaign last year, Tomlin’s now up to 17 straight years of winning seasons. This campaign ended with a playoff loss on the road against the Buffalo Bills.

That strong Steelers season came despite some incredibly shaky quarterback play, which saw Kenny Pickett get benched and subsequently traded during the offseason. Now, Russell Wilson is poised to start the season as the Steelers' starting quarterback with Justin Fields waiting in the wings.

Pittsburgh gets its season started on Sept. 8 on the road against the Steelers.

How To Bet on the Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Unibet announced a partnership in August 2021. The partnership will allow Steelers fans to engage with legends of Steelers past at a new Unibet tailgate zone outside of Acrisure Stadium. In addition, the two organizations will work together to bring a Steelers-themed casino game to consumers, which will be available on the Unibet PA casino app soon.

Betting on the Pittsburgh Steelers

Betting Point Spreads

Betting point spreads are wagers based on the expectation that a team will win or lose by a certain number of points. Here’s an example:

  • Ravens +1.5 (+110)
  • Steelers -1.5 (-110)

In this situation, the Ravens are 1.5-point underdogs against the Steelers. If Pittsburgh wins the game by two or more points, a $100 wager on the Steelers would come with a payout of $90.91. If Baltimore won the game outright or lost by one point (or tied), the same $100 wager would net $110 plus the original $100 for a total of $210.

FAQ: Everything you need to know about point spreads

Betting Over/Unders

Over/under, also called point total, is a wager placed on the combined scoring of a single game. Bookmakers come up with a number and you can either bet the over or — you guessed it — the under. Here’s how it works:

Let's say the Steelers play the Browns and the over/under is set at 55 points. A wager on the over would require Pittsburgh and Cleveland to score 56 total points or more to win. Betting the under is an expectation that the two teams would score 54 or fewer points. It's also possible for the bet to push, which would happen if the game finished with exactly 55 points scored.

FAQ: Betting the point total, explained | What is a push?

Betting Moneylines

The moneyline is as straightforward as it gets when it comes to betting. The only thing to do here is pick the winner. Check out this example:

  • Steelers -250
  • Bengals +200

The minus (-) and plus (+) signs distinguish the favorite from the underdog, making Pittsburgh the favorite in this scenario. Odds can be understood more clearly if you think in terms of $10 or $100 increments. A wager on the Steelers odds would mean every $25 bet nets $10. And it's the opposite for underdogs: Here the Bengals moneyline was set at +200, meaning a $10 wager would profit $20.

Moneylines are also commonly used when making parlays, which are multiple bets tied into one. Let’s say you bet the Steelers moneyline and -1.5 point spread, Pittsburgh would need to win by two points or more for that bet to be successful. The risk is greater, but so is the reward with increased odds. Use our Odds Calculator to calculate any bet amount or conversion.

Betting Player Props

Player props are wagers on a single player, and they're tied to a single stat found in the box score for a game or even the whole season. These are among the most fun to bet on, especially if you're already playing fantasy football and like the player-specific focus it offers. Check out a hypothetical example below:

  • Russell Wilson passing touchdowns regular season: 20.5

In this example, a bettor will wager on whether Wilson goes over or under 20.5 passing touchdowns over the course of the regular season.

FAQ: How prop betting works

Pittsburgh Steelers Futures

Futures are somewhat similar to prop bets in the way that both are monitored over the course of a season. Except most future bets are focused on end of season success. Examples of futures are:

  • Pittsburgh Steelers odds to win the AFC North
  • Pittsburgh Steelers odds to win the AFC
  • Pittsburgh Steelers odds to win the Super Bowl
  • T.J. Watt’s odds to win Defensive Player of the Year

If you’re confident that the Steelers can stay healthy and finish the job this year or that T.J. Watt is going to win the Defensive Player of the Year award, this is the place to be. For a full list of NFL futures, click or tap here.
