Well, that was more like it! The Las Vegas Aces, winners of the last two WNBA Championships, finally looked like themselves in a 95-81 win over the New York Liberty.
With the victory, Vegas avoided the sweep and injected new life into their chances and perhaps some doubt in the minds of the Liberty.

Why The Las Vegas Aces Can Cover In Game 4
Las Vegas entered the postseason as the four seed but held the second-best odds to win the championship for a reason. Having league MVP A'ja Wilson is a big reason why, but so, too, is the fact that the Aces have proven they know what it takes to knock off all challengers and take home the trophy.
Game 1 of this series saw them struggle and in Game 2, we saw the Aces play better and show signs of progress. In Game 3, they put it all together, with Wilson's 19 points and 14 rebounds taking a bit of a back seat to Jackie Young's 24 points and Kesley Plum's 20.
Those three often carry the Aces, but in this game, they also got production from Tiffany Hayes, who had 11 points, and Chelsea Gray, who chipped in 10. That balance, along with Wilson's excellence on the boards, led to a shooting percentage of 52.1 percent, with the Aces making 13-of-32 3s.
Vegas turned the ball over just nine times and kept it close on the glass, not allowing the Liberty many easy buckets or extra shot attempts.
It was a complete effort from the Aces, who limited the Liberty to just six points in a third quarter where a close game turned into a blowout. It was also a bit of an outlier, at least in terms of this series, so the question is if it or something similar can be repeated in Game 4.
Liberty vs. Aces
Betting Pick & Prediction
The Aces won Game 3 without a superhuman performance, at least offensively, from Wilson. That has not often been the case, and a look at her numbers in this series shows a player who has been effective but limited.
In another elimination game, Wilson figures to be a focal point. Wilson scored fewer than 20 points just four other times this season and averaged 29 points per game in the outings that followed. In other words, she not only bounces back but thrives. The Liberty being a good defensive team, may limit Wilson, but they won't stop her.
Pick: A'ja Wilson to Score 20+ Points (-265)
