Wings vs. Sky Preview

While this matchup between the Dallas Wings and Chicago Sky may not be one of the marquee ones, with both teams nearly at the bottom of the standings through the first handful of games this season, they are evenly matched, and the tight spread is a testament to that.

This matchup also has plenty of star power with Angel Reese suiting up for the Chicago Sky and star rookie Paige Bueckers running point for the Wings. Speaking of Bueckers, she led the way in the Wings' first victory of the season over the Connecticut Sun, where she dropped 21 points.

However, Bueckers is due to take a small step back in the scoring department against the Sky, as her lack of perimeter shooting will limit her upside. Through her first five games, we've seen the No. 1 overall pick take initiative on the offensive end, averaging 12 field goal attempts per game.

Although only 2.5 come from behind the arc, the area where the Sky are most vulnerable, as they rank 13th in 3-point percentage allowed. Additionally, Bueckers' size will prevent her from stuffing the stat sheet like we saw her do in her most recent game.

Angel Reese is four inches taller than Bueckers, and Kamilla Cardoso has an even larger height advantage over her, standing at 6'7". These two will control the paint and glass on both ends of the floor, making Bueckers a non-factor in the rebound column.

Wings vs. Sky Prediction

While Bueckers shined against the Sun, this matchup against the Sky is too good to be true. Look for her shots from inside the arc to be well contested and her rebounding numbers to plummet.

While she does have some upside being a facilitator, the other two categories lagging behind make this a prime spot to fade her in multiple stat categories.

Best Bet: Paige Bueckers Under 26.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists
