We have plenty of World Cup action to discuss with six games on each slate until tomorrow. On Friday, it'll be Groups G, H, and I in action, with France and Norway already qualified for the knockout stage.
Those two teams will fight for the top spot of their group in Boston at 3:00 p.m. ET, and at the same time, in Toronto, Senegal faces off against Iraq. Then, at 8:00 p.m. ET, the night games begin with Uruguay vs. Spain in Guadalajara, and Cape Verde vs. Saudi Arabia in Houston. The slate finishes at 11:00 p.m. ET with New Zealand vs. Belgium in Vancouver and Egypt vs. Iran in Seattle.
Let's get into our World Cup prop picks for Friday, June 26.
World Cup Prop Picks for Friday
Norway vs France Prop Picks
He's inevitable. It seems automatic in any tournament or league, but even more so in the World Cup, where Kylian Mbappe has scored 16 goals in 16 matches.
So, how can we not pencil him in for another score? Best odds right now are at -105 (bet365), and this is an attractive matchup with the chance of being a high-scoring affair. Between him and Haaland, I'll go with Mbappe.
Senegal vs Iraq Prop Picks
France scored three goals against Iraq, and Norway got four. Now, with a win as their only chance to advance, Iraq won't need to be cautious if they are behind at any point in the match.
Therefore, Senegal should score two or more goals, but that doesn't pay well. So, who will score the goals? Ismaila Sarr already has two, and it would be nice if Sadio Mane scored again in a World Cup after missing Qatar 2022 with an injury, but Nicolas Jackson is my choice, as he has been fairly close in the previous two games.
Uruguay vs Spain Prop Picks
This is one of the best matchups of the group stage, and it could lead to some nerve-wracking moments for Uruguay as they have performed poorly and put themselves into a hole.
However, Spain's style will prevent them from going out in front, as they should, given their qualifying chances. Uruguay may opt to press early and then retreat to try to counterattack, so the chances of Spain getting more corners — and this many — increase.
Cape Verde vs Saudi Arabia Prop Picks
This is a tricky match, with both teams having a chance to advance thanks to Uruguay's poor performance so far and the fact that they could still lose to Spain and leave the second place in this group wide open for these two sides to take.
Cape Verde could be happy with a third draw in a row, but that calculation could go wrong, and they have the talent to win here. As for Saudi Arabia, they have no other way to go about it. The second half should be fun, and there's great value if both teams score.
New Zealand vs Belgium Prop Picks
This could be Belgium's last chance to stop disappointing people. They have only one goal so far, but they need a victory to go through, while New Zealand has already conceded five goals.
Easy enough, right? It will probably come down to a second-half effort, as both teams look to avoid elimination. But for Belgium, peace of mind might only be achieved with a nice lead of two goals or more, so they should go full throttle from the get-go.
Egypt vs Iran Prop Picks
The third matchday usually brings lots of goals, so it's a good time to go with your best pick. Mohamed Salah might be declining, but he's still Mohamed Salah, and this World Cup has taught many not to write off older stars.
The Egyptian winger scored against New Zealand and will look to secure first place in this matchup. He has three goals in four career World Cup games and offers great value here.
