While Potter hasn't been on the job for long, fans are already calling for his head after winning just two of their last 10 EPL matches. However, for all the criticism the former Brighton manager is receiving, he deserves a bit of slack given the state of the roster.
With Denis Zakaria having to come off after hurting his thigh during their 2-1 loss to Fulham, Chelsea's injury list has increased to 10 first-team players. Not to mention new loanee Joao Felix will miss the next month due to picking up a straight red in his debut.

With all the forced lineup changes, the Blues have struggled to find chemistry on both ends of the pitch. They have just 21 league goals this season and have just one clean sheet in their last 10 competitions.
There may be signs that their attacking prowess is beginning to click, though. During the Fulham match, they recorded a season-high 2.1 xG and accumulated 10 shots on target.

Crystal Palace Look to Score Early
Crystal Palace have been very inconsistent this season. They look like a top-half-of-the-table team one week and then a team that could find themselves in the relegation battle the next.
They have started the new year looking like the team fighting for relegation. The Eagles are still hunting for their first point of 2023 after losing 4-0 to Tottenham on January 4 and then 2-1 in the FA Cup last weekend to Southampton.
Palace struggle to break teams down in the attack and thus rely on shots from a distance. Their average shot is from 18.3 yards, the fourth farthest in the league, which has resulted in a low 16.8 xG this season (second lowest in the league).
Patrick Vieira's style of play also seems to leave his side worn out after the first 45 minutes, especially when they don't have their home fans behind them to provide an extra spark. The Eagles have netted 75% of their eight away goals this season in the first half.
Coincidentally, Chelsea have not conceded a goal in the first half at home in the Premier League all season.
