Chelsea will resume their Premier League play when they head to the King Power Stadium to take on Leicester City on Saturday morning.
Chelsea hope they can build off their first positive run of the new year and move up from 10th place in the Premier League. They beat Leeds United in the league last weekend and are coming off a 2-0 victory over Dortmund in the midweek to advance to the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League.
On the other hand, Leicester City are looking to get back in the win column after losing three straight league games, most recently to relegation-positioned Southampton.
Will Chelsea build off the highs of their Champions League victory and make some noise in the league, or will Leicester City bounce back once again in their extremely inconsistent season?
Here is our breakdown of the Leicester City vs Chelsea odds, and my pick for the Premier League match on Saturday.
Leicester City Have Been on a Roller Coaster Ride This Season
No other team has been up and down as much as Leicester City this season. Brendan Rodgers' side started the season with just one point in seven games before winning five of their next eight, only to follow that by recording just seven points from their last 10.
The one consistent thing during their inconsistent play this season has been their defense. That's not a good thing, though, as the Foxes have allowed the third-most goals this season, conceding 43 times during their 25 league games.
What has kept them somewhat afloat this season with their lack of defensive prowess has been their offense. However, during their three-game skid, they have managed just three shots on target and recorded the lowest xG total of the season at 0.01 in their loss at Arsenal two weeks ago:
Leicester created 0.01(xG) against Arsenal today – the lowest xG in a Premier League match since we began this account.

To make matters even worse, Leicester have won just three games at home this; only Southampton have a worse home record this season.
Chelsea Have Figured Out Their Formation
While there is still a lot of pressure on Chelsea and Graham Potter given their place in the league table, things are beginning to click.
No one has ever questioned the talent of Chelsea's financially record-breaking squad, but there have been loads of questions on how a roster of 35 players would fit together. Well, Potter may have answered that question for us during their two-game win streak.
Potter changed the shape, getting key results. Against Leeds United and Dortmund, he lined his team up in a 3-5-2 rather than the 4-2-3-1 they have previously been deploying. This allows them to maximize the players at hand, giving them more pace up front and the ability to whip in more service with the wing backs being Reece James and Ben Chilwell.
They are also finally starting to break their spell of bad luck. The Blues scored just one goal during the month of February, despite accumulating 6.5xG during that span. However, in their two games in March so far, they have netted three goals off 3.5 xG.
Leicester City vs Chelsea Pick
Brendan Rodgers is certainly hoping his side's inconsistency will flip back up, as all signs are pointing down in Leicester at the moment.
Unfortunately for him, he has won only 10% of his games against Chelsea. That is his lowest win ratio against any opponent he has faced at least twice in his managerial career.
Combine that with a talented Chelsea side that are figuring it out and beginning to grow in confidence, and we are getting good value on the Blues here.
Take Chelsea on the moneyline.
