I try to stay away from pitchers who aren’t consistent (good or bad), but I do like this spot at plus odds. He’s under in 6/11 starts - and although he’s been better recently, there is a lot to like with the under. Pitch count wise, it’ll be tough for Kopech to stay efficient. DET is above average with pitches per PA, and have the highest walk rate by far (13.6%) over the L2 weeks vs righties. Kopech is at 4.04 pitches per PA (24th/116), and a 61.1% strike rate (104/116). Even if the Tigers bats don’t show up (90 wRC+ vs righties over the L2 weeks - 19th), they’ve been able to consistently chase pitchers. The L21 of 25 righties are under this line.
